***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

DH got one last week for next year!!
Also, work is going to kill me y'all. I just want to get through this week and get back home where I can plan the rest of my trip!!
I feel you. I'm alternating day and night shifts all week and my only day off is Thursday! Then working straight through until next Tuesday.

so...just out of curiosity, has anyone ever done a late night with a PPO the next morning? It's not absolutely necessary for our plans, but I'm trying to make some itty bitty changes :)
by late night..I mean the MVMCP. The plan would be leaving after the fireworks. Does anyone know if they are always held at 9:30? and is it usually jam-packed getting out?

so great of you to remember @Candycane83! Everyone had to put up with our excitement last week, we need to give a shout of good luck to this week's friends!! is his date tomorrow?

wow...I just noticed @Mintycake s little banner at the bottom...1 month, 3 weeks!! that is SOO SOON!!!!! yippeeee :) :)

I just got a PIN code in the mail! DH is going to have a really hard time fighting me against upgrading to APs and planning a return trip in 2017. :D

Edit: I should also note that I also got my first medical bill from my emergency surgery also. Boo! I'm going to choose to focus on the positive for now.

I just made payments on two of my medical bills from my knee injury 4 months ago. How is it that 2 hours in the ER costs over $4000?! That doesn't even include xrays and the doctors fee. Luckily insurance paid $3600 but that's just insane. And the ambulance that was like $1500 (before insurance paid half).

Congrats on the PIN code!!

I am grateful to be in Canada when I read that! Our system isn't perfect but it is mostly free.

Preach! I work in medical billing, specifically anesthesia, and our healthcare costs are bananas. I was flabbergasted when I started working in it.

So I ended up changing Kona to Trails End.

and then I added Boma on our AK day. Because of course I did. It's going to be a long day starting with Boma at 8:25, AK until 4:30 and then MVMCP. But, it's our first day and we'll be on such a Disney high that we won't even care. And we don't really have any other super early mornings or super late nights.

Can't remember if you have kids or what ages...sorry:worried: I am struggling with the same issue, but it's just my husband and I. We are doing 3 PPO breakfasts total after most likely being in the park until 9:30, but after MVMCP we are starting a little later. I do plan on staying until midnight though. I figure if we are dog tired we can take a nap in the middle of the day. I want to ride RIDES when it's prime time for that - early in the morning and late at night:dogdance: We've toured this way in the past (without children) and it worked quite well, but we do usually take a break in the middle of the day.

@Mintycake and @areno79  its halfway through the week tomorrow!

@Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL jist remembered it's your fp day today. How did you do? :)
Wow! Thank you so much for asking. @Candycane83 you are amazing! Here I am having enough trouble remembering my own dates and trying to make sense of all the madness that is planning a DW trip. And I see you on here daily remembering other people's important dates, helping all of us search for ADRs, and you always have nothing but kind words to say. So glad you decided to join this thread!

Back the topic at hand. I did really good with FP+ this morning. Logged on at 7am and got everything I was looking for at almost perfect times. All of the hard-to-gets fell into place perfectly. Scored FEA on our 2nd day which I wasn't expecting. It took a little more time than I had hoped. But I'm partly to blame for that because we're using rider swap on many of the rides so I made some FP+ for only 2 people. So it was tricky trying to fit in (in some cases) 5 FP+ per day around our ADRs and the other things were hoping to do in the parks (parades, nighttime shows, etc.) I still might want to tweak the times I have a little bit. All in all I'm really happy with how it worked out. When I get a chance I will post our itinerary. I really like hearing others opinions on touring plans.

I would NOT be comfortable with that plan, especially if there are kids in the mix. What if you're having so much fun at the party no one wants to leave after the fireworks? What if it takes forever for a bus to show up and you can't get back to your room as quickly as you had hoped? Please don't put yourself in a situation where you absolutely HAVE to be somewhere at a certain time on the morning after the party. Is it possible it could work out? Sure. Will you enjoy your trip without it? Most definitely (at least I hope your enjoyment of the trip isn't predicated on this particular PPO breakfast).

My day didn't go as planned. work was crazy and I didn't get done what I wanted due to being pulled into so many other things. :badpc: Then I had to go to MedExpress because my left thumb swelled up twice it's size and very painful. :sad2: We had picked up a load of 100 bales of hay this past Sunday and stacked it in our barn and I got some hay splinters because I didn't wear gloves, even though I made a point to go search for them before we left the house. :confused3 Well I didn't get it all out and now it's infected. Walmart pharmacy was the only close one and they took forever. We did get to pick up the Kohls order of tshirts from last night, and bought a few more....:rolleyes1 DH was so excited to find a Back to the Future shirt. :jumping3: It's unfortunate that ride is gone from Universal. It's one of the few I remember riding as a kid. That's DH's favorite movie(s).

DH says I'm a walking disaster lately. :crutches: But I'm hopeful that I'm just getting it all out of my system before our big trip! And I've hit my deductible for the year so might as well get my use out of the insurance. :scratchin

Wow! Our insurance system is so weird. I was happy to find they worked out a payment plan over 18 months, no fees. So it's going to be very manageable. Phew!

I hope your knee is better now!

Did you say 100 bales of hay?

About a week ago I posted on here that "I wish I had a barn. I could go out to it every evening and do barn stuff." After reading your post and after some careful consideration, I no longer think I want a barn. They seem to have a lot in common with boats in that the best kind of boat is someone else's boat.

I could never. I am not a morning person to begin with and I have my two EMH times first two days, which is all I can muster, which a relatively early night in between (SWaGS and nothing else). we do not take mid-day rests though. I think the fireworks are at either 10 or 10:15 this year - for MNSSHP they are listed at 10:15 right now. so even if you don't stay the whole party you probably won't be home til past 11. Getting up less than 8 hours later might be kind of tough... even though I usually go to bed around 11 and wake up around 6:30 somehow with all of that exercise i know I will need more sleep.

HaHa! I feel that way about my friends' boat. I enjoy it, but don't want my own! We'll still have to get at least another 100 bales this week to stock up for winter, swollen thumb or not I gotta climb the stack and stack it. Hay in the barn is a farmers savings account. :)

I have some friends who go horse riding with me and they've said "Man I'd love to have a horse." Shortly after they figure out how much work it is that desire changes.

I'm so glad your fast passes worked out as you wanted them to @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL! Can't wait to see your itinerary!

I'm pretty sure the laws changed with how they can come after you for medical debt which really changed the leverage they have.... there is a 6 month waiting period before they can send it to collections and if you pay it off while in collections it comes completely off of your credit report (and the hospital gets less of that money because they are paying a debt collection service) so they are FAR more motivated now than before to work out a payment plan with people whereas before they could immediately send it to collections (sometimes while people were in the process of reviewing it with their insurance company) and write it off their books completely. Don't get me started about how messed up our system is. But I'm glad you could work something out. I'd move to canada if the exchange rate for going to disney wasn't so bad, lol (just kidding ;) ).

Thank you! This is very helpful. 10-1015 fireworks makes a big difference. I think it'll be best we keep our original party date :)

type it!

glad to know FEA still has good availability. I just tweaked mine a bit more yesterday and today. I bugged @Candycane83 with it privately because I'm sure you are all getting sick of seeing it lol
