We are here at WDW now and we rode Soarin' this afternoon. I love the new movie. It is beautiful. I need to see it again. ::yes::

There was a huge thunderstorm tonight with lots of lightening. So we didn't get to see the Star Wars fireworks. It was the only night we could see them on this short trip. Now I have to hope that they schedule them for December.

I have problems with motion sickness and there are a lot of rides I can't do. But this new version of Soarin' didn't bother me at all. And I'll give you a word of advice, don't look at any videos. I loved being surprised by what is in the movie. ::yes:: I'm glad that I never looked at a video or read about the new film. :)

The Star Wars fireworks finally went off tonight at 10:23pm, more than 2 - 1/2 hours late. We could see them from our resort room. That was a nice surprise. :)

Has anyone ever done the supercalifragilistic breakfast? I picked it up last week when there were so many 1900 park fares. I am holding this and cape may for our last day. We are eating lunch at crystal palace the day before so Winnie and tigger will be duplicative. I know Alice, Mary Poppins, and Mad Hatter might be there but my kids don't know these characters. The kids eating that day are DD5, DS3 and friends daughter 3. I'm still trying to get Ohana for that day but am thinking I should just drop the park fare breakfast unless you all think it's really not to be missed. Thinking cape may is a better alternative for the age group if I can't get Ohana

I have not done 1900 PF, but I have a breakfast ADR for this upcoming trip. One of the few places we will be eating breakfast. I really just want to go to see Mary Poppins, and to eat the strawberry soup, and to say I've finally eaten at a restaurant at GF! I'll be honest...I've been on the fence about keeping it because we're just not huge breakfast people when we're at Disney.
I have heard good things about Cape May, but I'm already seeing Mickey at Chef Mickey's and at H&V at Minnie's Holiday Dine so it wasn't a huge draw for me.

Actually, not to nitpick, but Mickey isn't at Cape May breakfast. It's Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, iirc. We ate there on our last morning last time and it was a fabulous way to end our trip! :)

Ate at cape may? I think cape may will be better than 1900 park fare for my younger kids. There's two little girls who like Minnie so that seemed good for them. Although they like stitch too so I keep looking for that as an alternative.

Yes, we ate at Cape May. The characters wear beach attire and they're really cute! I think 'Ohana breakfast sounds great, too, and I've heard really good things about the character interactions at 1900 PF breakfast. Tough call! Would any of them be more convenient than the others? Breakfasts are always a challenge to get to. When we did Cape May we were staying at BC so it was easy. :)

I know I am asking too many questions today but I'm wondering if any of you have ever done the FP+ and rider switch trick to get a few more reservations?

http://www.mousesavers.com/disney-dining-plan-tips-and-tricks/

My DS is only 38 inches so he can't ride many things. According to this link (and a similar one on touring plans) I could conceivably get:

FP for me + DD for splash
FP for DH +DS for BTRR

When we show up for splash we ask for rider switch pass and DD and I ride. Then my DH and DD (2nd ride) can ride on switch pass.

When we show up for BTRR we also ask for rider switch. DH rides with DD using DS fastpass. Then DD rides again with me on the rider switch.

This doesn't work for us a lot but would work well for these two rides at MK.

Would it be foolish to do this?

Thanks, @Iowamomof4 We are driving and have our car so we'd be driving to any of them from Port Orleans Riverside. It's tough, right? I think if they were older the 1900 PF would be better but the oldest will have just turned 5 and the other two just turned 3. I know pooh and tigger are there but we eat lunch at crystal palace the day prior so it seems redundant I'm leaning towards canceling 1900 pf and keeping the Cape May. I feel like a reservation hoarder keeping both (and I do still have other extra reservations for other meals). Cape May looks really cute, esp. for two little girls that like Minnie. And maybe keep stalking the Ohana one between now and then.

For those of you that will have your own car at DW, do u drive to all park and adr? Is there any park that is better to use bus instead of car? There are several days we will close the park or have late ADR at various resorts. Therefore we are considering of getting a rental car to save time whenever possible. Btw, we will be staying at CBR. TIA for your input.
