***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Was this the thread where we were discussing snacks and grocery items to order, bring with, and/or purchase onsite?

I'm putting together my October Subscribe & Save order at Amazon and adding rice pouches (my younger kids like plain white rice with butter and salt), applesauce pouches, shelf-stable liquid coffee creamer, and flavored coffee pods that should work in the coffee makers at AoA. I thought about single-serve cereal, but decided we could just buy a couple boxes everyone likes and pack them like that since AoA provides paper bowls for the suites. I hope they sell skim milk in the grocery section!

I haven't seen anything lately but wanted to ask you about rice pouches... My son likes eating it plain too... How do you cook that in the room?

been trying to keep from obsessing over our fp day next week...actually have realized that there is nothing that can be done with things that are booked. which is NOT like me at all :) but, I honestly don't even know yet exactly which rides i'm selecting for which mk days...i know the times that I think I'm aiming for, and I know the 9 or 10 rides I'd like to try for..but I still have to really think about the order and the map of the park. I have a general idea, but no more charts. It's very possible that the ride won't be available for that time. I just hope I have a few seconds to really think about the selection process while I'm doing it (aside from fea and 7dmt of course)

so I went shopping :D for Disney trip things!:earsgirl:
Was wondering, what are you planning to pack for your kids to wear? I heard that it can range from 50-80s? Most of my 6 year olds clothes suddenly are way too small for her just this summer/fall. Of course now my 4 year old has tons of options with her newly acquired wardrobe, but I've just really realized that my 6 year old doesn't have many clothes. We bought her some new fall / winter things for school. But, are you packing a lot of shorts/short sleeves for your kids? knee length/capris for girls? or mostly pants? just curious :) I think I'll pack of few pairs of each. I just hate overpacking :(

I love Disney trip things shopping!! As for packing...I'm a member of Overpackers Anonymous. :) But I do think layers of varying lengths is the way we'll go. I brought 1 pair of jeans for each of us, and we wore track suits to travel so we had those, some long-sleeved T's and hoodies, and we ended up never needing any of that for our last December trip. I wish my crystal ball was working for the weather this time! :) I did get my kids some really cute/very light-weight Disney-themed backpacks so they can carry their own sweatshirts, sun glasses and little what-nots. They are plenty old enough that mom is no longer the pack mule! ;) lol

I'd do the character meals on dining plan. They are good meal plan values. I'd then figure out which of the other two you'd spend most on by looking at the menus.

I agree with @SilSprBea. I think you could pay for Sci fi OOP since that one is generally reasonably priced. Maybe rainforest Cafe too or skippers canteen depending on what you would order there.

We will have a microwave in our suite. This is what I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HTG8IG/ref=sns_myd_detail_page?th=1

The resort quick service restaurants all have microwaves and toasters that can be used by guests for their own food as well.

I know Minute Rice also has some microwaveable rice cups. They have brown, white, and Jasmine (or is it basmati?).
Thanks! That's great to know! I have a bit of Asian ADRs lined up just so DS would have familiar food sometimes and I thought I could go to Japan or China for rice if ever I need it. This is a great alternative option though, thanks again!
