***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Oh yeah! that's a great idea! Thanks!! :) I;m scared that I'll just be waiting for the parade and then waiting for Wishes and have to go after. :sad2:
Yep, also don't ignore the rides either. We were able to to do ALOT of the fantasyland stuff done early in the evening. We then headed over to Tomorrowland for awhile to dance! It was great. DD1 then fell asleep so we ended up riding more rides, and viewing Wishes. We ended up staying and watching the late parade. Best decision ever!

That sounds wonderful! I hope my DS could last that long or fall asleep in his stroller too! :)

It's amazing how Disney can change your child's sleep habits! DD1 was always the picky baby who couldn't sleep unless it was pitch black and dead quiet. At Disney? She slept ALOT in her stroller. It was great!

On her first trip, about the third day in, I have this fond memory of DH and I sharing an ice cream from the Plaza and DD just snoozing away. It was a great "mini date". it happened again while we were touring the World Showcase. Great memories!

That's my dream! :cloud9: We will see how it goes. My concern is that DS is usually ok w/ sleeping and eating out when we're home... if he's the opposite when we get there i'm going to :scared::crazy::sad:

I will definitely hold a proper thought for that! A little pixie dust too...pixiedust:

I'm definitely a little more nervous this time around, not because we have two children, but because DD1 doesn't really nap much anymore. She is required to have a an hour of "book time" in her room, and maybe 1/3 of the time she'll actually fall asleep. So usually by dinner time she's a mess. I'm going to be pushing nap time hard this time. I'll do anything I can to avoid a meltdown.

Wondering what you think :) Is under the sea one of those rides we can bypass? ( I have 4 and 6 yr old girls) trying decide which to do ; meet Ariel at her grotto or this ride :)

Meeting Ariel is what I would choose, but at some point, go on the ride! It's short and sweet. :)

I personally would do both for 2 little girls. :) I would take my DS on both if the line is not long. :P

Thank you both! I'll plan for both, then :) the line seems very cool for the ride! I've been watching somethings on YouTube to get a feel for things and see what the girls might like. I took some time to Check out illuminations. The fireworks are awesome! But, I was a bit surprised about how little it appeared in the video to focus on the countries? Years ago didn't they really light up all of the countries? I did see something lit but it was hard to tell really what it is. And didn't they used to play music associated with each country?

FWIW, @pigletgirl is right, it's a very short ride. I think it's enough to keep little one's attentions. I'm a little scared about rides that last a long time... and shows... :rolleyes1

Not sure about Illuminations... Maybe @Lisa F can help.

From what I can remember from a year ago, is that Epcot goes dark and as the show goes on, each country is illuminated during the show. I don't believe they play music that represents each country, but I could be totally wrong.

So for those who have little ones... Which rides in EPCOT did they like? I could not for the life of me figure out what tier 2 FPs to book...

Living with the Land, Character Spot, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk... :)
I have Land, Seas in my list... Did your little one like turtle talk? DH and I made the mistake of going in during our pre child trip and found it to be long... (but that may be because we were kind of bored) :P Did you DD like Spaceship Earth/ Figment?

they don't really focus on the countries so much anymore and don't play any music that is related to them. The score is from their millennium celebration, so 16+ years old at this point. They do light up the countries but it is background, the focus is really on the globe in the middle of the lagoon. It is sort of allegorical and talks about the formation of the earth and how humans have developed over the centuries (the theme for the millennium)

here is a good discussion of the symbolism of all of the various parts:

if you care ;) It is my favorite nighttime show ever. They show movies on the globe and there are fireworks and lasers and water fountains that light up and move around. it is a truly immersive show and so well designed and engineered. it is perfection IMO :)

I'm planning on doing Turtle Talk with just me and my DH. I'll plan to sit near an exit in case we get bored!

it's cute but after a few mins we kind of zoned out... (we didn't really appreciate kids' interaction yet, LOL) I mentioned before I didn't really make any touring plans last time so we went into rides randomly. This time I am planning a lot more.
