I'm overwhelmed by the choices in EPCOT. Honestly, I don't have a plan of attack. I think we will wonder, eat and stop in places where the crowds seems lower.

I'm truly stressed about our FP day coming up! I'm stressed i've been tempted to make an additional reservation for a week prior to our actual arrival to open the FP booking window. I just doesn't feel right. My TA is convinced that regardless my FP will only open on 9/28 or 60 days prior to my pakage. She does not think that we will able to book FP on 9/27 (60 days from our RO night).

I do have my FPs picked out for each day... the kids want 7DMT on each of our MK days... I don't think we will get all of them. DD wants to try for FEA on both EPCOT days. I think we'll be able to get one for 12/4 but not 11/30.
Any how what ever we get I'm sure it will be magical!

Hey everyone! Hope you all have been having a great weekend!! I took a small break from planning mode but now I'm BACK! I've been diving into the wonderful world of fp+....
I came up with a few questions, and I was wondering what you guys thought. Some things are .really specific so I apologize in advance for any anal-retentiveness

I know I should probably ask fp questions on the fp thread, but I wanted so see if someone here happened to know before I posted there

- I'll be visiting AK the morning of the MVMCP. I've thought about making 3 fp just for MK in the 4-7 block. BUT I'm trying to be flexible in case I can't get certain fp for days I'm planning. In the event that I decide to book my only TWO fp that I would like that day in AK, can I then go on mde immediately after my second AK fp is used to book a 3rd fp for whatever is available in MK? ( between 4-7) Then once at MK and did 3rd fp, can I try for 4th?

OR would I just be able to do my fp in AK, if I choose, and just wouldn't be able to try for fp in MK?

-I was able to watch an updated mde page of someone booking fp on YouTube so I can know what to expect. I noticed that when someone goes to book a fp time ( say 12-1) the system pops up with a message reminding you of your "other plans" that day; i.e., reservations. My question is, say I have a reservation for lunch at 12, and maybe I even have another one booked for 12:45 as a backup....either way, will the mde fp system NOT let me book the fp time (12-1) for a ride if the fp time conflicts with a meal reservation? I realllly hope I make sense!!

-when I am booking fp, I understand it is best to try to book hot rides first. I would for example start at day 6 to try for fea. Can I just book that one ride on day 6 for the moment? I would then go to day 2 ( for example) and book another hot ride (7dmt). And so on.... I guess I'm asking if I can jump back and forth just picking one ride per day or do I have to " finish" or complete booking my 3 passes for the day before moving to a different day?

Is anyone else having a hard time planning their touring schedule at MK? I've put my stuff in TP, but I feel like the flow is off. I set it to minimize walking, but it still has me kind of zigzagging. I manually set my order or attractions, but it still feels weird. It's actually stressing me out a little because I'm not sure what to do first or in what order. We are doing EMM so we'll have done 7DMT, WTP, and PP already. I've recently read some reviews where they had Small World open too (which would be awesome.)
I'm used to going to Fantasyland at RD, getting all of this rides done, going to Frontierland or Tomorrowland next, and getting FP's when there's a wait.
But, I haven't been since New Fantasyland was built so I feel like I *have* to split up Fantasyland in order to minimize waiting. I'm just worried about how long the lines are going to be going into the late afternoon. It's a MVMCP day, so we'll be leaving at 6:30 to get to our Chef Mickey's dinner. Any suggestions on what the order should be? The only character I really want to try to meet is Rapunzel; also Daisy Duck but she's not a must do if the line is ridiculous. I'm just feeling overwhelmed for some reason at trying to decide my plan of attack (and FP+'s!)

honestly I have not found "new" fantasyland to be significantly different than "old" fantasyland with the exception of needing to do 7DMT and dumbo no longer has a HELLACIOUS line like it used to because they added an entire second one. I think there's just that and barnstormer over on that side. I found it pretty easy to do. Also Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are right on top of each other and I tend to try to do them all together.

tell me again how often and when (and what it is adjacent to) you are going to MK and I will give you my opinion.

I am going 3 times - first day I am targeting tomorrowland, second time I am targeting fantasyland before MVMCP (as much of it as I can do) and third time I am targeting frontierland/adventureland/liberty square and anything else I need to pick up from the other lands.

I think this is a great plan of attack. I think the reason disney does not have them so that you can go one after the other is because it is the kind of place where you should be able to just wander and enjoy and not attack one after the other. There is SO much to do I would plan on NOT doing it all - pick a few you want to do and then catch whatever you catch wherever you are. JMHO of course

btw hi everyone. super busy weekend here. Tivoli day (home town street fair) and walked there and back (just a couple of miles but have been so sedentary ), beach (just spent about an hour walking and dipping our feet in the water) and fishing saturday and then up early this morning for a kids' fishing derby, then all day at the same beach but swimming this time. I am POOPED. So apologies if I miss anything lol. Kiddo did great at the derby, caught an 11 1/2" scup (the biggest scup was 13" so not that far off of there!) and I expressed my tremendous love for him by cutting up bloody squid and baiting his hook with it yesterday and getting up at the "butt crack of dawn" as he kept saying today and baiting his hooks with minnows. I also learned the hard way not to lick the coffee off your finger when you've been baiting hooks. Single parenting a boy is not for the faint of heart

@Talby Honestly, we are not Frozen people, but I have to see what all the fuss is about with the attraction. Also, M really liked Maelstrom, so we have to see if it was worth it to take it away.

@areno79 Aladdin came out while we were exploring the Morocco pavilion and he took my niece by the hand and walked with her to his M&G with Jasmine. It was just so sweet. When it was her turn, he introduced his new friend to Jasmine and they made a big to do--it was awesome!

That is so cool! We've been very lucky in Epcot having random characters pop up with no wait. It's happened before on different trips with Aladdin in Morocco and with Mulan in Japan.

I have to admit...we've never been on Maelstrom! Guess we'll never see it now lol

I know it's crazy, but we usually try to do everything in one day, and then go back and do our favorites again on another day. I feel like that should be doable with EMM and staying until almost 7. I'll hop on my PC and see if I can post my tentative TP MK schedule...

1. I do know that all of your initial 3 FP must be used in the same park. You say there are just 2 FP that you want in AK, but I would just go ahead and FP something, anything, even if you set it up and allow it to expire. And the earlier the better! That way, after that expires (or you use it) and you use the 2 FP you really want, THEN you can schedule a FP for another park. You may make your 4th FP for MK while still in AK AFTER all of the first 3 are used/expired.
2. Your question makes perfect sense, I just have no idea as I have never made FP before. Shoot--sounds like they didn't cover that in the Youtube video? (hoping to watch some of these tutorials this week!)
3. I recently read on one of the FP threads (and other places) that you ARE able to jump back and forth when scheduling, so I am pretty sure that would be a yes and certainly hope so because I plan on it for my FP game plan!

reports have said you can pretty much knock all of fantasyland out at RD with EMM easily. everyone will be going for 7DMT and you can do everything else while they are there. then proceed as normal. EMM will give you a leg up to equalize IMO

Oh my goodness everyone...the VERY BEST THING happened today!! Does anyone remember my babbling about how we REALLY, REALLY wanted to do Dolphins in Depth? We were quite disappointed when we found out the exhibit would be closed for refurbishment the ENTIRE month of December! Interacting with dolphins is something DD has wanted to do for as long as I can remember and I SO wanted to make that happen for her (celebrating her graduation this trip). THEY CHANGED THE REFURBISHMENT DATES AND WE ARE NOW BOOKED FOR 12/3!! And you know what the icing on the cake is?

This is the eve of DD's birthday.

Oh my goodness everyone...the VERY BEST THING happened today!! Does anyone remember my babbling about how we REALLY, REALLY wanted to do Dolphins in Depth? We were quite disappointed when we found out the exhibit would be closed for refurbishment the ENTIRE month of December! Interacting with dolphins is something DD has wanted to do for as long as I can remember and I SO wanted to make that happen for her (celebrating her graduation this trip). THEY CHANGED THE REFURBISHMENT DATES AND WE ARE NOW BOOKED FOR 12/3!! And you know what the icing on the cake is?

This is the eve of DD's birthday.
