***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Lol me too actually!

Really wish they would just release it! Or even just the schedule for AK and DHS!!

me three. this is the last thing that i really WANT to book so badly!

my son will be disappointed that the BB8 cupcakes are gone though but if I can get them elsewhere he'll be fine. chocolate rocks and bb8 are his two favorite things!

Have you told him you're attending this dessert party already?

That sounds like a good plan @PolyRob . We're doing a PPO breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. The only reason we did that is because we wanted to sign up for Jedi training - I figure better to be in the park eating breakfast at 8:10am than standing outside waiting for RD (which is what is being recommended if you want Jedi training - get there 45 mins before RD). If this event happens I'm guessing this strategy may or may not work. I don't really care about TSMM and neither does my family but everyone says it's great so I want to try it.

Honestly I'm surprised they didn't roll this out at Epcot first as a Frozen early morning event.
it's great but there is nothing at WDW that I feel is worth a 2 hour wait.

I told him we might and showed him the cupcakes because I knew he'd love them, lol. He asked if we can't do the dessert party if we can still get the cupcakes and I found out where they are - I just can't remember now but they sell the full size versions elsewhere so we decided to use a snack credit on it if not.

That's great! At least you found where it is and you have plenty of snack credits!

With my dining plans I'm now debating whether I should just go deluxe dining all the way... :rolleyes1

By the way @Lisa F looks like the Wishes dessert party is sold out for our party date (Dec 8)?!? Wondering if it'll be that busy!?
I wonder if it is sold out or just reservations glitches again. remember when it first opened it took me a long while to book it, was unavailable for 2 but I could book 14 - suddenly it was available for 2.

Could be... Reminds me of the F! Package and MSEP... It does show available for the 9th and 11th but not 6th and 8th so it makes me wonder since 6th and 8th should be slower days...

lol it might be worth it. I have second thoughts every so often when we go out to a restaurant and i eat half my meal and am stuffed for the rest of the day. I am not a particularly heavy eater but I am not a particularly light eater either (those people who are all "the disney dining plan is TOO MUCH FOOD but I can feed a family of 4 on half a pound of chicken breast" is NOT me, lol. But at buffets I tend to get two plates and take very small portions of things and the people who have plates piled high and dripping over make me want to gag. I assume that is average lol. My problem is I LOVE breakfast/brunch foods, so all of those sit down breakfasts are going to be hard to practice restraint and not knock myself down for the count for the rest of the day.

well it is available for the non party days which are actually busier than the party days. And not available during the parties. I wonder if they are going to offer the two tiered package, which would be awesome if the outside viewing came with MSEP viewing spot. Maybe that is why they are stopping ADRs. check other party days lol.

I need to recalculate and re-do some of my reservations. It's actually the MSEP package that kind of screwed me over. LOL! I'm the same at buffets. I normally never eat even close to what I'm paying but I kind of reason with myself that it's really for the character experience and I just need to eat a bit. Still, it is a quite a bit of food... Need to go back to my spreadsheet!

I think I remember seeing the full-size BB8 cupcake at Backlot Express back in May!

yeah I can't fit the MSEP thing in. Not without giving up something I really want and everything I have I really want. So will just have to wait in the crowds with the common folk.

Lol, I keep checking certain dates because of the SW dessert party. Of course that's greyed out but I have MK and DHS on my filter secretly wishing something suddenly pops up like the f! Package!

I was thinking that it might be ok to wait but on a Saturday non party day with a toddler, I kind of cringe thinking how crowded it would be!

yes, that's where it is! I probably will forget again lol. They also have a chewbacca cupcake that was never at the party so I hope they are just diversifying a bit instead of getting rid of the BB8. This way my kid can have both cute droids. though honestly the vanilla cupcake will probably be more enjoyed than the lemon.

yeah I am planning to go on wednesday. also considering a non-main street location.

I'm pretty sure Yulilin3 said they got rid of the Chewbacca cupcake. It does make me concerned about the BB-8 one. :(

i want to know if it does. it does appear those two are sold out while many others aren't. I'm not sure it's indicative necessarily of the party attendance in general but I think it DOES tend to be a week where people "in the know" about what a great time it is to be there go and would be more likely to do special things. If that makes sense. or maybe i am grasping at straws. This is THE MOST POPULAR dvc week of the entire year and it books up right at 11 months. The reason for that is that crowds are generally very low, but for DVC people it books up faster than christmas. So I'm wondering if basically because of the generally low crowds that week but all of the great stuff going on that there is a higher proportion of people who are going who research and even know that stuff exists. Friday and weekend parties tend to sell out much more quickly for example and those are the parties that people in the know would avoid for that reason, but those are still available for the dessert party.
