***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I'm hoping this is the same for the Holiday wishes!! Fingers crossed on the fireworks view. That would be a better view than the restaurant I think?
I think it is. I think we will have a better idea how it is around halloween when those parties start. I figured it was easier to book now and cancel later than not be able to book at all. When it was announced for the halloween parties (they did it last year for those but not for christmas, this year they are doing both) someone mentioned that they sold out quickly. we'll see if that is true.

Yup I figured the same thing too! Rather book it now than to find out its sold out later. We'll see the reviews and get a better idea in September I guess. Hopefully by then we'd have a better idea of the view and mechanics of when to go for seats and all. I sure hope I find an earlier BOG too!

It does seem like a long time but honestly, I would be taking that time between parade and fireworks anyway. once the parade is over I'm not sure I'd want to get stuck in a line somewhere and miss a good viewing area for the fireworks. I think I might rather be on main street though front and center. Will just have to decide I guess, but there is time. Now leaning toward cancelling lol.

This was me this morning! But I've resolved myself to wait for reviews first then decide. If the fireworks viewing is in tomorrowland terrace, I might reconsider... If it's in the old FP area, I will just go for it. I think that the time in between the parade and fireworks won't allow us to do much anyway especially if we need to stake out spots. I don't think we would last for the 2nd parade so the reserved spot is a definitely plus.

We will definitely last until midnight:) I booked, but was thinking I might cancel when I know the schedule of events for sure. Flip flopping again as now thinking if we have a great spot for 2nd parade then we can spend the time after fireworks riding lots of rides:flower1:

That's true, well I think if you keep your H&V ressie you can go straight to TSMM after and get to ride it twice if you FP it too. :) the shows take up a lot of time so it's nice to have a little extra time so you won't be rushing. Are you only spending one day at DHS?
One day only at HS. Like previously said, kids do change their mind all the time. She was totally gung ho on fighting 7th Sister and now, not so much. I think she's a little scared. She absolutely does not want to meet Vader and now that they've switched the M&G to Kylo Ren she doesn't want to meet him either. (I totally do though! LOL). But she does want to meet "Sewbacca" (as she pronounces it). I'll hang on to my reservation for now. Though if I do get Sci Fi that's 3 TS meals in one day....yikes.

i'm hoping we'll last. we're going to do a dry run the night before by going to EMH at the MK and then sleep in the next morning and take it easy all day. I'm thinking... dinner at 3:30, prob be seated quickly because it is when they open. at MK by 5ish I hope, do a couple of FPs before the party starts, show up 7:30ish if we do the dessert thing for parade (otherwise we have to stake a spot out in advance too)... if the parade officially starts at 8:15 I'd probably be at main street no later than 7:15 for a good spot and honestly it is probably going to start to fill up right at 7 I'd guess, if crowded (I seem to remember getting one of the last main street spots in 2014 at the halloween party an hour in advance). so 7:30 show up time for the parade in a prime spot is good, it saves me say a half hour. Then the time between parade and fireworks is dead time anyway. I am not going to haul butt to fantasyland or whatever to maybe get caught on a line instead of having a good spot on main street for fireworks. I'd probably wander the stores and monitor the crowds outside and be in a spot no later than 9:30. So instead we'll be in a comfortable seated area having some desserts. My only reservation is not being on main street for the fireworks. That said we have been on main street before so maybe it would be fine, especially if the old FP area is available for viewing, which I think is a better spot overall - though not on center.

I'm hoping we can last later. My son has lasted at home until midnight but being out and about I'm not sure. Still as long as we see the fireworks I think I would be happy. We don't really need to do meet and greets and we can do rides another day...
I'm thinking about just keeping my Ohana reservation now if we are doing the dessert party especially if I don't find an earlier BOG one... :P flip flopping is becoming a specialty now

I know the f

i know the feeling. All 3 of my kids are all too shy to do Jedi Training. Which honestly, I can't blue them, because I was too until I was an adult. But I wanna see one of them do it!

My kids were not happy that you have to follow the instructions of the Jedi and can't just free style your light saber skills....so, they wouldn't do it when we were there in April, but my almost 8 yr old DS told me he thinks he's gonna do it in Dec now that he knows Kylo Ren is part of the show.

Lol this is really Dis peer pressure!! :rotfl: Not a bad thing but it sure is pricey!

I hadn't even considered the dessert party til I started reading the posts today...now I'm seriously considering it. I have the world's biggest sweet tooth and the prime viewing aspect is a plus. I'm still thinking it over.

the parade viewing spot is prime. Not so sure about the fireworks.

Beats camping out for a parade spot!! I'm very intrigued!!
the regular wishes thing does NOT include parade spot. only the holiday ones. The parade spot is prime, it is the old fastpass spot. The fireworks viewing spot is good I think if you are close enough to the front to not be under the overhang (means getting there early and lining up) and there are also some reports that you can also go outside and do the old spot for the FP+ fireworks viewing... but both are off center. For regular wishes I don't think this is an issue at all, but what I'm not sure of is what it looks like for holiday wishes when they have the 360 fireworks.

Hahaha! This was exactly me. I was trying to figure out fireworks viewing, dinner, parade, etc...I hadn't even considered the dessert party...but y'all made it sound so fun, and now I'm SOOOO excited about it!! I feel like it might have been the missing piece of our trip!

I'm just reading other threads and just checked the Disney site again... It does say tomorrowland terrace for both the dessert party AND the wishes: celebrate the spirit of the season fireworks at 10pm.... Hmmmmm... I'm second guessing myself...

I'm so confused....again. :/ The fine print on the Holiday Wishes Dessert Party states parade at 8:35 and fireworks at 10:00. I thought the parade started at 8:15, and the fireworks at 9:30 on party nights. A CM I spoke with this morning confirmed fireworks on non-party nights start at 10:00, but on party nights, fireworks start at 9:30.

Yup I saw this on the boards too and checked the website. It said the same thing. I'm guessing they changed the schedule this year...

parade starts at 8:15 but ends up by the flagpole 20 minutes later. It starts in frontierland.

So do we think the new time is 10:00 for party night fireworks? Or is the new time 9:30?
