***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

We did it our last trip and enjoyed it. We were the first show. A few members of my family have food allergies and they did great job accommodating them.

Thanks a bunch @CynBeth! I'm leaning towards the first show after thinking about it further--really want to be immersed *IN* MK that last night. :)

@PolyRob That input is really helpful! :thanks:Hmmm...that is a bit odd about the chair situation. Wonder if they are something akin to Adirondack chairs or similar--going for a beachy-feel to add to the atmosphere kind of thing? At any rate, thanks for the heads up on that and for sharing your experience!

Can Fantasmic and the Star Wars Dessert Party be done in the same night, or is there overlap there?

No schedule released for Star Wars yet but it seems like the 2 events will overlap? As of September, I think there is only a 15min gap in between the 2.

Great, thanks @Candycane83! I was wondering if possibly extended DHS hours might change the timing of things in any way. Wishful thinking on my part because we have just 1 DHS full day planned, save for park hopping on our last day to get a last hurrah on the Rockin' Roller Coaster. Alrighty then...well, this just means I'll be doing some switcheroo-ing of my little puzzle pieces! Looking forward to seeing what the final "masterpiece" looks like. :)

@Talby was asking about my dining plans in another thread so I figured I'd post them again :)

we're doing a split stay and I also added an additional night onto the front of my reservation because I decided to fly in a day early.
so on 12/2 we are flying in early evening and checking into AKL Kidani. I have an ADR for Sanaa that night OOP

Then I'm doing DxDDP for the first 4 nights (5 days) of my stay

12/3 BWV
AK
9:45am Tusker House breakfast
3:00pm Yak n Yeti late lunch/early dinner
hoping for 6ish for the Star Wars fireworks dessert party

12/4
HS EMH
Sign up for Jedi Training
Starring Rolls for breakfast, snack credits
11:15am Sci Fi Dine in early Lunch
5:00pm CA Grill Dinner
Illuminations from International Gateway Bridge

12/5
Epcot
11:35am Coral Reef with CP Package early Lunch
5:00pm Candlelight Processional
6:45pm La Hacienda Dinner
check out Mexico, ride the ride
stake out a spot for Illuminations in Mexico

12/6
rest day
9:35am Ohana Breakfast
disney springs & shopping for an hour or two
pool
4:30pm Minnie's Seasonal Dine with F! package
7pm Fantasmic
Illuminations again! from FP+ viewing location maybe,
or nighttime pool,
or enjoy boardwalk with an ice cream at ample hills,
or whatever and pack up for switch day

12/7 switch day - check out of BWV, check into Poly
have bell services get luggage
Epcot
RD Soarin', Living with the Land
10:00am Garden Grill Breakfast
leave epcot around 2pm, go back to boardwalk, get car, drive over to Poly.
Physically check into poly to get Leis and beg for 3rd floor room if not already assigned
(lake view). room should be ready by 4 at the latest.
Hopefully time to get to room and get luggage back, and freshen up for
5:05pm Narcoossees dinner - last credits on DDP
MK
go to tomorrowland for non fp rides like the people mover and carousel of progress
MSEP
regular Wishes
extra magic hours until midnight

12/8
rest day, OOP dining from here on out
9:30am Boma breakfast
back to resort for Lava pool
3:30pm Ohana dinner
MVMCP
right now I have the dessert party booked but leaning toward
canceling and doing rides during early parade and watching
later one

12/9
MK
9:50 CP breakfast (in case we are not moving so fast)
1:55 BoG lunch (just wanted to see the place and would just have soup and cupcake
or something but given the long checkin times seriously considering dropping this)
6:15 HDDR
watch Holiday Wishes from the room

12/10
departure day
8:00am Kona
check luggage into southwest in the lobby before breakfast. noon flight. leave by 9:30.

if you're still following, I'm doing the split stay mostly for easy transportation to the parks where we plan to be. Illuminations is a favorite and we will do it at least twice, if not 3 times. If they do extend HS hours and it gives me more flexibility on nighttime stuff I'd love to do it after CA Grill to be honest but I don't see that happening right now.

So basically we are doing most of the early morning stuff early in the trip and then shifting later later in the trip with more sleeping in. I have two break days but not break nights as there is just too much nightime stuff we love

If SW fireworks are not on saturday night I have a backup plan but let's just assume they will continue every day since they did into september.

someone asked about this and they were told basically that they overlap F! and the star wars fireworks on purpose because they don't want people running from the end of F! to catch the fireworks. it is too dangerous

Ahhh, okay. Well, that does make sense. I've just heard so many great things about the Star Wars fireworks that this has become a must do if I can swing it. Your plans are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Poly is at the top of my list of resorts to stay at, followed verrrry closely by Wilderness Lodge and AKL. Perhaps when we celebrate my son's graduation in a few years we can make one of those happen. I trust your IllumiNations watching spots given it's your favorite. Thanks for sharing those awesome plans--what a fantastic time you 2 will have! :)

Also because they want people to visit DHS at least 2x :)
LOL...I strongly suspect that is the case!

I love so many of your dining options!

I definitely have a lot of similar ones (currently have Narcoossee's planned over Citricos :) ). I am also happy to see you have Garden Grill later in the morning. I had originally done a PPO ADR, but changed it so we could sleep a little longer and get 'Soarin and Living with the Land first, then enjoy our breakfast before entering the World Showcase.

What are your dining plans @PolyRob and @Talby ? :)

I wasn't around earlier on, so I know I missed a lot of the ADR discussions, but I was wondering what are your opinions on PPOs? Good idea? Or not really worth it?

I have 2 planned- one at Akershus and the other at Crystal Palace... Not sure if it's worth it but liked having semi empty MK pics so I'm hoping hours don't change for MK. We would not rush for MK because we're not going to 7DMT anyway :) do you have any planned?

@Candycane83 I posted this elsewhere (for dining package calculations). It's not completely set in stone. I do have the ADRs for everything listed, but just put the Average Service meals where I don't have an ADR and/or am unsure. I would love to add either California Grill or Narcoosee's (or both!) somewhere into the mix, which would likely result in cancelling 1 or 2 from this list.

12/2: Coral Reef Dinner (not sure if we would have 2 meals on arrival day yet)

12/3: Kona Cafe, Pecos Bills, BOG

12/4: Boma Breakfast, Flame Tree, Average QS Dinner

12/5: Average QS Breakfast, Earl of Sandwich, CRT

12/6: The Wave, T-REX, Boathouse

12/7: Cape May, F! Hollwood &Vine Package (lunch), Average QS dinner

12/8: Average QS Breakfast, San Angel Inn, Teppan Edo

12/9: No Restaurant (African Trek 8a.m and meal is provided), Tusker House, Yak and Yeti

12/10: Crystal Palace, Average QS Lunch, Spirit of Aloha Level 1

12/11: Average QS breakfast

Please share yours too!! :)

Thanks!! I've never even been to Disney and needed reservations! ( last went about 20 years ago :). So I'm not sure about any of this really. I keep second guessing times for meals, and hoping I don't have to change park days based on opening times. I really do not want to rush either! I'm really hoping to just be able to get the " good" rides that I think the girls would like with fast passes. .... We're just really REALLY early risers, so the earlier the breakfast the better.

I think since you are early risers anyway AND if you want to have breakfast where you're ADR is, you might as well go. Just go to breakfast to enjoy it and not in the hopes of riding something. I feel that if you put too much hope into hours not changing or rides not being down, you might be disappointed and not enjoy your breakfast. :) just my opinion of course.

What are your dining plans @PolyRob and @Talby ? :)

Day One: Gasparilla, Narcoossee’s, and Mizner’s Lounge?

Day Two: Kona Café, Le Cellier, and Holiday Wishes Dessert Party (pending review)

Day Three: Garden Grill Candlelight Package, Teppan Edo, and La Hacienda de San Angel

Day Four: Starring Rolls Café, Sanaa, Tiffins (RoL?), and Beaches and Cream (late for sundaes)

Day Five: Mama Melrose Fantasmic!, Sci-Fi Dine-In, and Trader Sams or Tambu

Day Six: Grand Floridian Café, and Liberty Tree Tavern

Day four will most likely change due to Rivers of Light. I will try and squeeze in Beaches and Cream this night since the MVMCP goes until midnight, and I can bus to MK and take a boat or monorail back to GF late

Great plans!! We have a few similar reservations. What time is your Wave breakfast ADR on 12/6? We're there on the same day for breakfast too!

My plans are (and I know it's a lot!)
At AKL
12/3- Tiffins lunch and Tusker House dinner

12/4 Biergarten lunch and yak and yeti dinner

12/5 either cape may breakfast or 50s prime time early lunch, h&v f! dinner

At CR (DxDP)
12/6 wave breakfast, skipper lunch and STK dinner

12/7 Akershus PPO (might cancel), coral reef lunch, Narcoosee's dinner (break at the hotel between lunch and dinner to digest, lol)

12/8 Boathouse lunch, BOG dinner

12/9 homecoming lunch, flying fish dinner

12/10 chef Mickeys breakfast, Ohana early dinner

12/11 California grill brunch, garden grill (early dinner-4pm), Star Wars dessert party (hoping)

I think I'm pretty set already with these but depends on AK hours and DHS hours... Plus dessert party. So a lot of dining for us! Lol!
