It appears that the first week of December is going to be excluded from Free Dining, so what are you doing? I decided a few weeks ago to move offsite because my parents are going with us and thought it would be easier for this trip. I would have been super disappointed if we were still staying on site.

*My first poll, didn't know which option to check for showing who votes, hope that's not a problem!

I cancelled our trip yesterday after seeing the dates. I thought we were pretty safe based on history with our chosen dates but I should have known better. I have been super upset about it and am trying to hope with the slightest hope the leak is wrong and the dates are off. I posted this in the 1st week support group thread.

I was SO excited for our trip, have every ADR I wanted and as DH & I are in the home stretch of our foster to adopt licensure, this would have been our very first trip with our child. To say I'm pretty heart broken is an understatement. We travel with 3 adults (1 child) and stay mod and the other discounts don't even come close to FD. We have stayed off property before, paid for the DDP, gone without the DP and used TIW. FD and TIW have been our best discounts. We no longer have APs therefore TIW isn't an option. Could we afford to pay for the DDP...yes but we won't. Disney's prices are just too high for me to justify it. We will just skip the trip and since we have been going more than once a year...this will force me to have over a year between trips and maybe, just maybe break my WDW addiction which is probably not such a bad thing even though I am currently still throwing a fit over it, lol. Oh well, first world problems for sure!

I originally had Nov 29 - Dec. 8 reserved with free dining at POP. I was one of the lucky ones that recieved a pin code in June::yes::. However, i linked my daughter and grandkids to my reservation so they can get the free dining also but for some reason their is no availability at any resorts for the free dining :(. It would nt be fair if i got the free dining and my daughter. I have been calling almost everyday to check on availabilty for her but no luck. A CM told me yesterday that they were probably not going to open any more free dining rooms for that week but that i can switch dates.
SOOOO i ended switching dates yesterday to Nov. 15 - 25 at POP and we bot got the free dining :cool1:

I also had ALL my ADR's for the first week. Now i have to start all over finding the same ADR"S for my new week - bummer

I still really wish i didn't have to switch dates cause we will be missing out on
Christmas around the world at Epcot and the Candlelight Processional AND im scared i wont get that entire Christmas Holiday feeling being there a week before thanksgiving. :( Please tell me that the resorts and parks will be decorated for the xmas holidays on my new week?!

oh well, we will still have a great time at disney and enjoy the FD:banana:

I cancelled our trip yesterday after seeing the dates.

Hoping a door opens up for you so you can still make your trip. :sad1:

Please tell me that the resorts and parks will be decorated for the xmas holidays on my new week?!

From everything I've read it sounds like they will probably be putting them up the week you are there so you may get to experience some magic after leaving a non decorated park at night only to find a decorated park when you return the next morning. :yay:

As much as I want free dining, I want to keep our early morning CRT, CP and dinner BOG even more. We've never tried those restaurants so will pay OOP for those and cancel the rest. This is our first time onsite and FD would've been a huge discount for our family of 6 w/ 5 Disney adults. We've been thinking of going to Disneyland for future trips since it's closer and cheaper for us Albertans. I can't expect or demand a discount but flights are outrageous and this trip proves just how expensive Disneyworld is becoming.

We'll be changing our dates, but i'm not until it goes live. I've already secured all my ADR's for our new dates(was actually able to get better times!) with the exception of BOG. If I don't get it, no big deal, we'll do the CS for lunch.

We are keeping our dates but I did get the FD pin so we are good. No offense, but everyone feel free to move so that week is less crowded HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

We're staying offsite. We had a feeling there would be no free dining offered early December based on hardly any resort availability for the past few months. Either something is going on that week that Disney is expecting to be busy or everyone booked up in the hopes of free dining and will soon be changing dates.

Either way we are offsite at an awesome place and eating 10 table service meals and 3 quick service and even factoring in gas money and parking its cheaper than staying at a moderate with free dining so we are happy! I feel bad for all those hoping for free dining but am honestly glad there's no free dining that week in the hopes that many people planning on it will go a different time. Free dining periods have become insane crowd wise so glad were missing out. I am sorry for everyone who was counting on it though :-(

^ You're definitely right about the price. Our last 2 were offsite but we wanted to try onsite once while can still pull our kids out of school for such a long period. It figures the year we try onsite our usual dates are not included. :(:lmao:

We are tentatively planning a trip for this week with friends who have never been before. We've been considering a house or 2 rooms at ASMu. FD would have cemented on site, but now we'll almost definitely do the house - the extra space, private pool, and kitchen will hopefully make up for a 20 minute drive! Also, I booked ADRs just at 180 days and was unable to get BOG, so am hoping to snag one sometime this week! We will probably revise our ADRs to make more sense paying OOP, ie, less character meals/buffets and more entree sharing.
