Just throwing myself a pity party for 1 since it appears my dates are not going to be included in the new Free Dining promotion My heart is a little broken this morning...really wish I would have gotten the original PIN that did include my dates Oh well, at least I'm still going to Disney, right?

Me too I was really hoping for it this year, this will be our last trip to Disney with all of our kids (the next time we will be able to go our oldest daughter will be in college)...and of course it will still be magical but I wanted to make it the best trip ever. We've never done the dining plan and it would have been nice to not be budgeted in that aspect (let them have whatever they want off of the menu, fun snacks, etc)...but I guess it's not to be. *sigh*

I am also joining your group- our stay is Nov 29th-Dec 6th, our airfare took more from our budget then we expected and was hoping for FD so I booked reservations already, now I'll need to go and cancel most of them, ugh
Happy to be able to go and stay on site, yet still feeling disappointed

Guessing these dates are solid and no chance for us to be included? Room only would be at least something to look forward to

We don't know. So far from what I have read dates for RO have not been made public. Some people say that more dates could be released for RO so we'll see, fingers crossed. I'm really worried though. My dates are Nov 30-Dec 7th. It's technically supposed to be a slow week even with Pop Warner starting towards the end of it. *sigh*

Well...maybe Disney will realize what a big mistake they made and throw that week in there...

Concerning the room discounts, they do tend to be more widespread as far as the dates go. The last round went all the way back to mid-august if you remember, even though free dining didn't start until september.

I want all of you to get a room discount, but I would much rather those who want it get the free dining. There's always hope of a PIN.

I have been stalking the boards for months now waiting for the official free dining rumors (checking in November 30th). So sad that my very first post is bumming about our week being excluded. Happy for all those who are getting some magic today, though!

We are booked 11/29-12/7 and if no FD may switch to ro and see if there is AAA discount...very frustrated right now as that was supposed to be a slow week. We usually go end of Jan but wanted to see the lights. We are four adults and a 5 & 13year olds so 2rooms and $$$$

I really want to book a short trip December 4-8th, but I won't book anything without a discount. I know Disney doesn't have to give discounts and all that jazz, but I just can't justify the price any longer without some type of discount. Fingers crossed for something!

I wouldn't give up on a room only discount for this first week. Keep in mind that there have been plenty of room discounts offered this year and very few free dining dates. We have the first week of December booked and I have really been surprised by how many people have made reservations for this same week.

count me in....we are booked Dec 2-10 at POR and we're not able to switch dates. Still hoping for a RO discount for that week..I'm going to wait a few weeks and see what happens before I start cancelling ADR's.

I'm bummed too....booked at Beach Club 1st Dec to 11th December with no wriggle room to change dates or resorts so was hoping for either Free dining or Room Discount - think I'll resign myself to full price for room and dining....you never know - if enough cancel their ADR's or room bookings they may release something (I'm dreaming aren't I...!!)

And to think I've been stalking these posts for weeks now, almost certain my dates would be included, and was devastated when I read this mornings thread....sigh

Joining the bummed boat. We are travelling from Australia which makes this kind of trip a small fortune, and flights fairly set in stone. Ah well, first world problems and all! (No really, I'm kind of gutted.

)

I see lots of "this is what happens when you try and predict specials!" comments, but we book way out because that's what you do when you're coming from the other side of the earth, lol.

And the PIN thing, so frustrating. They don't seem to be sent to Antipodeans unless we have a US address we can attach to our Dis logins.
