1st week in September?

Has anyone gone to WDW the first week in September? What can we expect for weather and crowds?

Well, if you had gone last year you would have run right into Hurricane Frances...


Average high temperatures for early September are in the low 90s and lows are in the low 70s.

I've never been in early September but I imagine if you avoid Labor Day weekend the crowds are pretty light.

Well we went there in 2004. We got there the Saturday before the Labor Day holiday. From Labor day through that Friday the crowds were great! Wait time for everything was about 15 minutes or less. The weather was in the upper 70s to mid 80s.

We tried to go last September, but Francise made us reschedule.

We have been there the week of labor day and this year I am planning a trip with my DD's (leaving DH home) for labor day weekend.

Crowds were pretty good, and temps were hot but nice....it is a great time to go....

The first week in September is a great time to go! The crowds are practically non-existant, and weather is fantastic. You'll have a great time!

We're going from Saturday before Labor Day until the next Friday- hope to see ya there! TGM says it'll be the slowest time in a while sicne people will be scared of the hurricanes.

DH and I are going the 14-20th...crossing my fingers for no more hurricanes!!!

We will be checking in Sunday Sept 4 and staying thru Sat Sept 10. Hope to see ya'll there.

We were there this past September on Labor Day and the day after due to Frances and us not ending up going on our cruise. I think because the hurricane had just been through the weather was a little out of sorts but it was still nice, a little breezy at night but comfortable; warm and sunny during the day but humid because of the rains they had just had. There were almost no lines for anything, except Splash Mountain. Although it did seem like it was a bit more people than I would have expected because of the weather but most of the people were international visitors.

Our first trip to WDW was in Sept of 98 and we had two hurricanes hitting us. The entire time we were there it rained constantly. We made the best of it but I wouldn't go during hurricane season again b/c of our past experience.

We've gone in the middle of September 2 years in a row now and the crowds are light. But it is still very hot. Enjoy!

We have rented points at OKW for Sept 4 - 10!!! (Trying out DVC)...Yeah!! We want to make it to Daytona USA and Kennedy Space Center....any tips on when to plan those trips during the week?...I am thinking we may need to spend an additional night b/c we also have Sea World tickets too!!! So much to do - so little time!!!!
