This will be our first trip and the kids r 16, 16, 15 and 14 so any suggestions on what is good for them and not too "babyish" would be greatly appreciated. We r planning to stick together for a bit of each day and then to let them go off by themselves. I am a thrill ride junkie just a bit chunky so not sure if I can even get on some rides but I know 2 of my kids r the same and 2 r not lol this aught to be fun right! lol Hubby can't do the spinning stuff without getting sick either so I am going nuts trying to figure out what we can all do lol Oh we r going the 2nd week in March thanks for any suggestions!!

definitely go to mgm... i think the bigger kids will love it! lots of cool rides and shows...

also, dinosaur in animal kingdom! not to be missed!

test track and mission space in epcot!

and everything in magic kingdom... old or young, great stuff!

They would probably enjoy some time at Disney Quest and if you can swing it, fit in a few, nice sit-down meals. We found last year that it really added to the enjoyment of the trip. You also might be surprised at how even the 'coolest' teenager lets their hair down and everything brings out the kid in them! My 15 year old son still has to go see 'Cindy' and have his picture taken! Go figure! lol

There's lots of stuff you can go on together. Only a few rides trigger motion sickness-Body Wars, Mission Space, Tea Cups and possible Star Tours. They are what does it for me at least. Premedicate with dramamine or something similiar and your odds are much better. As for the chunky part, no worries! Disney is great for the larger sized. I'm a 5'9" size 28 thrill ride junkie who rides everything. Disney is not like the average theme park, thank god. Go and enjoy. As for dealing with 4 teenagers, nothing I can do but wish you good luck:)

Unfortunately, my teens only like Universal Islands of Adventure at this point. So I made a deal with them - we split the trip and no one was allowed to complain while we were there. We stayed at Hard Rock and had front of the line passes and they thought they were so "all that".

be sure to get the 2005 planning dvd-cdrom set....there's a section just for teens and like-minded ones to enjoy Disney......just call and order it free

i agree you should try to get to disney quest. My kids love this place. They also really enjoyed the The Comedy Warehouse at PI. It was like who's line is it anyway and they really enjoyed it. We always went to the first show so not to upset anybody. This past rip we rented mouse boats on bay lake and they were thrilled with this. We are amusement park junkies and love all the big rides (cedar point, Six Flags, IOA) but they love WDW just the same. IOA ia a awesome park but let face it, we go to Disney for so much more then the rides! Enjoy, Gina :wave2:

We were at WDW last month with 4 children, 2 are teenagers (girls). The teens wanted to sleep late, hang out by the pool (it was in the 80's), and then get to the parks late. They stayed for the EMH evenings. They were pretty much on their own for most of the trip. I just made sure they knew how to get back to our FW cabin on their own. Most of the days, they met up with us for dinner somewhere and then hung out with us for a few rides/attractions.

Even though I had "plans" of the teens spending about 1/2 the day with us, it didn't work out that way. After the 2nd day of getting mad at them, I just lightened up and let them do their vacation they way they liked it. The only thing I wouldn't let the girls do was go to Downtown Disney at night by themselves, dh went with them for that.

I would recommend getting the hopper feature for everyone. Also, my teens liked the dinner at Teppyanki (sp?) in Japan and the Sci-Fi Diner at MGM.

HTH.

Thanks so much everyone for all the great ideas!! I am beginning to think they will be off on their own, but I am gonna demand at least one half day lol doubt I get it from them all but a girl can dream lol thanks again!!

We took our 3 teenage sons 2 years ago, and they found something to enjoy in each park.

MK - Tomorrowland, Splash Mountain, BTMRR
AK - Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl (although I think it should be called Primeval "Hurl"....! :rotfl2:
MGM - RnR, ToT
Epcot - Mission Space & Test Track

They all agreed that MGM was their favorite park, altho MK came in second.

They also really enjoyed La Nouba at Downtown Disney, the Cirque du Soleil show. They said it was 'cool'. :smooth:

The water parks were really a favorite, as well.... I think it was because of the scenery, if you know what I mean! ;)

Islands of Adventure was another favorite, altho I skipped it and did the Dolphin Tour at Epcot by myself, and then had a facial at GF Spa....ahhhh...! :earboy2:

Have fun on your trip!

4 teenagers?..... Pray .. lol

Just kidding. I am sure you will have fun no matter what you do. The basics don't change no matter what age you are. Treat each other with kindness and remember it's not the end of the world if you don't see everything.. did I just say that? ... lol :grouphug:
