We are going to OKW this August and hoping for as much relaxation, peace and quiet as possible. It's DH and my 1st visit to OKW and are looking for some advice. We have no children and desparately need this week to relax since we are seasonal business owners (swimming pools) and this will be our 1st time off since Easter.

Does anyone recommend any certain building(s) that is known to be quiet, maybe close to a quiet swimming pool?

Where do you pick the boat up for DD? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I like the area along Old Turtle Pond. You are near to a pool and snack bar and most of the rooms there are nice and quiet. You are halfway to HH and halfway to the back of the resort. A nice comfortable walk to HH and Olivia's or just a quick bus ride.
The turtle Pond pool is usually very quiet and most of the buildings have golf course views.

The boat to DD is at the HH near the main pool and Olivias restraunt. It runs every 20 minutes starting at 12:00 noon.;)

Trumbo Ferry loads at the OKW marina (located behind Hospitality House - check in) and/or behind the Captian Jacks (?) Seafood in Downtown Disney (not sure about the name, but its close to Rainforrest Cafe).

Hope y'all enjoy OKW!

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at OKW. We usually ask for the Turle Pond area because it is peaceful & quiet. This trip we asked for first floor or elevator building for medical reasons. We had a third floor room in building 64. My sister & niece were with us. They have been to WDW many times, but not to OKW (or any other DVC). We were sitting on the balcony enjoying our morning refreshments, & my sister commented how she felt so relaxed & not even at WDW. She usually stays at a monorail resort because the chidren are young, but she loved the relaxing nature of OKW.

I hope your trip is as relaxing & peaceful as our stay was.

We stayed in building 46 about a month ago, and it was absolutely the most peaceful spot in all of Disney! We were kidless on this trip, and really enjoyed our morning coffee as the sun came up. Just the birds and us!

Our second floor room (4625) offered a lovely view of the river, where the boat to DD goes by. It wasn't a long walk to the quiet pool, either.

Enjoy your vacation!

Daisy;)
