1st visit to DLRP over!!!

Got back from out first trip last night and i can honestly say none of us wanted to leave.... the trip consisted of:
me age 33
OH age 36
DD age 4
DSD1 age 7
DSD2 age 7
DSD3 age 8

We stayed at the Explorer Hotel which iwould highly recommend to anyone with kids. The shuttle buses to the parks were regular and whilst they were very busy and we usually had to stand as the journey was only 5mins max it was not a problem.

The only down side to the break was that my OH left our camcorder in the back of the taxi when we were dropped off at CDG, along with the films we had recorded of the kids....the hotel had booked the taxi for us and a very nice lady at British Airways desk at CDG telephoned the hotel for us who then got in touch with the taxi driver, and whilst he was too far away from the airport to turn back (god they drive fast) he said he would hand it in to the hotel and they would post it back to us once they had received an email from me containing our address and a credit card number to pay for the postage. As yet i have not heard from the hotel..i sent the email last night and another one this morning...does anyone have any experience of this type of thing happening to them or is it just my OH thats forgetful? i dont know whether we will see the camcorder again but im hoping we do!!!!

Yeah so do i......i have all my fingers crossed, hope there are some honest people left in this world but who knows!!!!

When I saw the sad face by your thread title I thought that you hadn't enjoyed yourself then I read your post and realised you had!

What a shame about your camcorder. My friend left her mobile phone at the Explorers and didn't realise until they contacted her. They sent it to her via courier, hopefully you will receive your camcorder safely back too.

Update regards the camcorder.....my oh managed to get throught to the explorers hotel by phone today because we still hadnt had a reply to the emails id sent...anyway he spoke to marcel who spoke very good english and he confirmed that the camcorder had been handed in and was in a box waiting to be posted. Apparently its been a holiday in France the last few days so no post but itll be posted back to us at the first opportunity next week...sigh of relief !!!
