Hi Everybody,

Me and my husband with our 5 year old daughter are planning to Visit Disneyland,Paris this July.

I have following queries.(I know these are simple ,but sorry, I am having lots of confusions as this is our 1st time to paris).

We will stay at Paris for 3 days, then 3rd night only we will move to the Disneyland to stay overnight there.so that next day we can start the day early.we have planned to stay 2 days there.

1- We are staying at a hotel near by, not inside Disneyland. Its written on Hotel Website that the Disneyland Park is 2 stops from there. Do you think we will be having lot of time with us ? How is the frequency of the metro/train.When it starts in the morning ?

2- It must be a big complex , so will it be tiring for kids ?

3-Our main confusion is - which is the nearest Paris Train Station to catch a train to Basel. We need to figure it out as after spending 2 days in Disneyland we are going to Switzerland on 3rd day morning. We want to start early morning.

Thanks in advance

Smita

Hello. Congratulations on your forthcoming trip :goodvibes

1. So are you staying in Bussy St Georges? It's 2 stops from Disneyland Paris (station is Marne La Vallee - Chessy) on the RER A. Someone else will be able to confirm this but the trains aren't as frequent as the Metro...maybe 5-10 minutes apart? But they do start early in the morning. Here is a journey planner which you might find useful.

2. Yes, definitely take a stroller for your 5 year old ::yes::

3. I've done a quick search online and it looks like trains from Paris to Basel leave from Gare de Lyon or Gare de l'Est. Gare de Lyon would be really convenient for you as it's on the same line (RER A - the red one on the map) as Disneyland Paris and Bussy St Georges.

Hope this helps. We are staying in Bussy in August and will be taking the RER into Paris at least once.

1. The RER comes fairly frequently and the journey on the train should be less than 10 minutes. There are also train schedules here http://parisbytrain.com/paris-rer-a-schedule-stations-interchanges/ in addition to the site that BabyAriel has mentioned. Definitely starts early enough - can easily get to Disneyland before 8am...

2. It's huge! I find it tiring myself, but part of that is because I park hop a lot (so I walk a lot between the two parks, mainly because of fast passes/etc). It's probably less tiring if you work through the parks systematically or if you take a few breaks here and there.

3. Marne La Vallee (station for Disneyland) is a TGV station and a number of TGV trains pass through, so you might be able to find trains from Marne La Vallee (probably with a change of trains somewhere else though). Alternatively there should be a number of trains leaving from Paris so have a look around! :)
