We are travelling to HHI for June 5-9 DH's parents. We have a 2 BR reserved.

Where can I find a list of activities for our stay? We definitely want to RELAX but I know MIL is a go-go kinda gal and will not be content to sit at the beach/pool and read a novel.

Any fishing opportunities? Kayaking/boating? Bikes? I'm up for all suggestions.

DS is 9 and DD is 6.

I always call the resort directly and ask to have an activity list faxed to me. The number is (843) 341-4100. Have a great trip! We just love it at Hilton Head and can't wait for our November trip.

Relaxing is our #1 favorite HH activity, by the way! :)

I'm certain your kids will find lots to do there -- mine do. They love to crab fish off the pier at the resort -- probably their #1 favorite activity after swimming.

Our favorite thing to do is also relaxing. That's what makes Hilton Head for us. While there are activities, there aren't activities scheduled all day long. If she likes to shop, there's a lot of that on the island. There is a mall not to far from the Disney property, if that's of interest and shops at Shelter Cove.

Bike rental is available at the resort for your length of stay. There are many paths available. We enjoy riding to and from the beach house. Don't forget a cell phone -- just in case you have problems along the way.

Kayaking is available through the resort, as well as dolphin tours. We did the trip to Pickney Island last year -- it was very interesting.

Enjoy your trip!

Weird thing here. I just called the resort to ask for a fax of the activity list and was told I should call back the "Friday before the 1st of June" and then I can make reservations for activities then.

Does this sound right?

It sounds like they don't want to get your hopes up for a specific activity which may or may not be available when you get there. I might have an old one from last summer to give you an idea of what they offered then.

Does anyone wo has been more recently still have theirs so you and could provide more up to date information?

Mine is really old.....2002.....but here's what I remember them still offering last summer.

Dolphin Discovery tours
Pinckney Island Adventure
Unbirthday Party -- ages 7-12
Secrets of the Marsh -- all ages
Unbirthday Party -- ages 3-6
Kayaking
Gyotaki (painting a tshirt with a dead fish)
campfires & sing alongs
Kids Night Out ages 5-12
BBQ & Shrimp Boil (Tuesday & Friday nights)
Magic
Shadow Tales

There are fireworks right at the resort every Tuesday night.

There are also a lot of golf courses in the area, if that interests your family.

Like I said, my information is 2 years old so there could have been changes since last year. But, the above should give you an idea of what they have offered.

We look forward to getting away from it all and relaxing. We love the beach and pools. Love not having a schedule of any sorts. We personally have not sought out a lot of entertainment/activities at Hilton Head.

The resort activity sheet changes week-by-week. While the same types of activities are usually scheduled, the days/times will change each week. This is why you really can't reserve anything (other than Chef Gordon's Private Affair) until the Friday when the sheet comes out.

So, if you do get a current or past activity list, you can use it to help decide what you might like to do when you're there, but not to reserve this far in advance.

Hope this helps!
