Today we decided to go to Fort Myers Beach. It is quite a contrast from Sanibel Island. There the beaches are very calm, with wooden board walks, as opposed to the vibrant and crazy feel of Ft. Myers Beach. You pass over a bridge to a small island just barely off the coast, its like a huge sandbar. And there are bright and colourful surf shops everywhere! There is patterned concrete with suns and waves and palms trees along with cafes, places to get hair wraps and henna tattoos. So we staked out a place on the beach, tanned and relaxed, waded into the water and then decided to go for lunch along the shoping strip which is along the beach. We ate at what my grandparents call the "sleezy bar" LOL but it is otherwise known as Pete's Time Out (It's slogan is Brew, View Chew) As you can sit and have a beer (not me, I'm 17 not 21 lol) watch the people on the beach and eat. Very Cute
That afternoon we once again went back to my grandparents house, we needed to get our things together as we were going to DISNEY the next morning. We had a nice dinner with my grandparents, played another game of dominos and went to bed dreaming of heading to Disney the next morning!
