1st trip to WDW

We are excited to be planning our 1st trip to WDW We will be there Aug 13 - Aug 27th 2012. Planning on staying at the fort And using our recent upgraded tent. used dome for years now just bought a 3 room 20x 11 tent for a good price of $125 at Walmart. was to good to pass up after reading the reviews on it. my worries are if it would be to big for a spot. and since I have never been there I hear the talk about pads. Where do you set your tent up at? guess I am a little confused.

I use a pop-up, but I imagine you'd be hard pressed to find a tent that's too big for the camping pads. Here's a thread with lots of great pictures of tent campers and all of their very ingenious setups.

That is my plans I am planning on going every year With some ideas I got off the budget board that will help to make this a trip that I can do yearly. I look forward to returning year after year. and even hoping to meet some other disers

good luck and enjoy the Fort. The Spring/Fall time is best for tent campers with Spring being more expensive but check the rate calendar for exact numbers.

Thanks, I really enjoyed your trip report and photos they were great! Anything that I may want to bring during that time of year? Not sure about clothes either.

Also i just noticed in your pics of the trip report on number #32 the last pic you have there with the longer tent with the red top that is the exact same tent that we just bought and will be using down there.

I camp with a 19 x 12 tent and a 12 x 12 canopy with plenty of room left. your going to love the fort! I'm sorry I don't know how to post a link to my trip report but I have one on here somewhere.. enjoy!

That's OK. We are thinking of buying a canopy for over the table. I have been reading different trip reports. Maybe I can find yours somewhere in all of those. My favorite ones are the ones who stay at the fort. So I can hear more about the fort.
