1st Trip to WDW--MVMCP Help!

We're heading out on our 2nd Disney Cruise on Saturday, Dec 14. We're from the West coast, so we've been to Disneyland 20+ times, but we've never been to WDW.

We fly in on Thursday the 12th and we decided to go to MVMCP on Friday the 13th. I've been reading a lot about the party itself, but we're looking for ride help as well

So...give us some advice about what to do:
--What rides should we be sure not to miss? There are four of us, 2 adults and 2 teens, no little kids, no restrictions.
--What rides are duplicates (or nearly so) of DLR rides that we could easily skip?

There's no comprehensive guide to DW for DLR vets, but here's a thread that compares the parks for a DW vet going to Anaheim for the first time. Since you're familiar with DLR it will give you an idea of what to plan for:
