Assuming that we are carrying our own double stroller (Combi twin - 21lbs) and that we take a midday break from 12-3 everyday. Do you think this itinerary is too ambitious for us? Or are we heading for a holiday disaster?

Day 5 looks a little agressive to me:

Day5:
- Magic Kingdom
- Breakfast at Chef Mickey 7am

You'll have to get up really early to take the bus to MK, then walk or Monorial over to Chef Mickey's in time for breakfast. With two little ones, that seems pretty tight.

Can you change your ADR to a late breakfast? We usually go to MK for opening, do the park, then have ADRs sometime after 10 for breakfast at Chef Mickey's--which turns it into lunch for us. It's nice to leave the park just as it starts getting really crowded.

As for the rest, I wouldn't be crazy about all the resort switching (I'm there at the same time as you and I'm switching once, but all on property) with little ones, but I guess if you're trying to get all those parks in, it makes some sense.

Have fun!

I have one suggestion, well I won't say suggestion, just a thought,
Day 6: DTD, with the two little ones, that will be a long time if you are there until its time for dinner. Are you planning a few hrs, then back to POR for pool time, or nap time, until dinner time ? I think the little ones would enjoy dinner at the Castle more if they had a break in-between. Everything looks good, have a great trip.

Yea..I have a feeling that breakfast at 7am is not a good idea. But it was the only one available.Do you think we should just skip it altogether or is the breakfast really worth going?
Thanks.

also..we are planning to go to DTD in the morning..go back to POR for a swim/rest..then go to MK for the 5.30pm dinner and catch the evening firework show. We 're planning to park our stroller very early to get the best view for the show :)

I absolutely agree with Michygoomy about day 5. Eat a small breakfast in your room (bring fruit bars, granola bars, or something similar that you can bring from home, or buy something at POR's snack bar the night before), then make a late breakfast reservation at Chef Mickeys. We always try to get the 11:15 reservation and use it as a lunch. This way you can take advantage of the lower crowds in the early am at the MK and still get some sleep!

Have fun!!!

This sounds like a very ambitious plan. I have traveled with a 3 year old and I know your pace will be slower than with older kids. If you want to sample each of the parks, that's fine. But some parks take days to see all the attractions if you arrive early and stay late. I hate to discourage you, but you are also changing hotels quite a bit, which can be a hassle.

What you described here can be done, but you are likely to be exhausted by the end. We usually plan 2 days out of parks on our 9 day vacation to swim in the pool. Enjoy your vacation and make great memories.

I have been 6 times to WDW but our trip this year will be the first one with our son (2 year old). I suppose I do have some advantage being before, but I feel like a first timer myself! I bought "the Unofficial Guide to WDW with kids" -very helpful it is to.

There is a section on selecting the day of the week for your visit. It recommends an internet site (from it's own company) www.touringplans.com. This is also a helpful website, but what I thought would useful for you is the Crowd Condition Calendar. The idea is, due to so many variables, a computer program created that weighs all the variables and provides a recommendation for a specific best park for any given date. We have a plan for our week using this calendar fo a week in Oct. Incidently it also tells you which parks to avoid, but the calendar doesn't include the Universal parks.

I have to admit I have had no experience using this calendar, so it would be interesting if anyone else has and what they thought of it.

Hope this helps

You will have to really be on top of things, and all will have to go very smoothly in order to switch hotels at 9, and be at EPCOT by 11 for lunch.

I'd definitely take breaks with little ones that age, or by day 3 you will be one unhappy mommy!

Also, do your research on show/parade times, characters you are looking for, attractions you definitely want to see at each park, and the ones you'd like to if there is time,or you can't get to an attraction. Some of the parks, although there is plenty to offer, only have a few attractions my girls want to see. MGM, for instance, they like Beauty and the Beast, Playhouse Disney, Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Of course, DH and I can spend the day there, but at this point, it's easier to plan our day, hit the stuff the kids need to see, then be able to head back to the hotel, for swimming or a nap. You can also give them a few mornings to sleep in, you do not have to be at every park at opening everday, just the ones you have your dining ressies for.

But make sure you have them up and moving to arrive so you do not arrive too late, but no need to have them up at the crack of dawn each day. They are at an age where they still need their naps, and a good night's sleep, especially at Disney!

Also, day 6, I'd do Downtown Disney, in the morning, feed them lunch there (my kids get McDonalds at least once, this is usually where) then get back fof a little nap, and then MK for your dinner. I am assuming you are spending that evening in the park?? If not, be aware you are usuing a day of admission to just go to dinner. As a mom of small children, i know you can't just go to a park for a meal. The kids won't allow it, but just to make sure you are aware.

Good luck! Have a wonderful trip!
