1st Trip Home to AKV in 2 days! with PICTURES

Hi Everyone,
I started a pre-trip report on the DVC boards and my "Dis-board know-it-all" DH (that I love so much) told me that I should have put it here. So I guess I will start it all over again.

We have enjoyed others trip reports so much that we decided to do one for our first trip home. Reading other TRs has us so excited to go that my husband has already packed. (He never packs until the night before, and somehow always manages to forget his tooth brush or something else) I made a calendar (with my scrapbook cricut machine) that has all of our days and our dining reservations on it.

Well we have gone to WDW twice since Easter of 2007 and have fallen in love. (Not with each other but with disney! We do love each other too! ) My husband turned into a child and we wondered why it took us this long to find the place. We will be celebrating our 15th anniversary over the holidays. We had gone to Disneyland when we first started dating but haven't returned since. After going to WDW last Christmas with my father and mother in-law we decided it was crazy to keep paying cash if we were planning on returning. We flew down to Disneyland this past May for the Getaway days Travel Expo and bought 160 points to AKV.

We saw how happy our kids were and decided we could go back forever. I'll post a few pictures from our last trip.

By the way, just in case you are interested it is -28 degrees celsius with the windchill (-18.4F) outside here in Calgary. So looking forward to the nice weather. My crazy DH is going to wear shorts to the airport in this weather. He must be excited because he is not thinking straight.

We had a great time only because we arrived at about 4:30 and got tons of things done.

Castle Lights
We just stood there is pure joy looking at the castle. Without the lights is beautiful but with the lights was just magical!

DH waited at ToonTown rope drop to see if DD could be the first to ride with Goofy on the Brainstormer. She was chosen and also got to walk straight into the room after to get this picture. She thought she was so special after Goofy took her hand and walked her around.

Just heading out to get last minute things. Does anyone know if it has rained lately?

After I posted the above pictures I noticed that they are not that clear. Can anyone help me out with how to upload pictures. Currently I open them up in a paint program to make them smaller and upload them to the member gallery.

My DD got so excited last night because she realizes that two days is really not that far away. She was so excited it seemed like she ate all the candy off the gingerbread house

Sci-fi, Ohana's and 1900 Park Fare will be the new restaurants that we have not tried yet. This time I will take pictures of the food because I love seeing all the pictures that others have taken.

We are so prepared to go that I think I have forgotten something very important to pack.

Now I just have to finish up the kids autograph books. We decided that they already have a few of the park autograph books and we don't need anymore in the house.
