We are going on our 1st trip sept 2018, I got the Disney Dinning plan for my family of 4 .

my boys ages 13,9 are picky eaters . my oldest has autism and he only eats about a certain amount of foods .

Pizza , French fries , Chicken nuggets .He also has an egg allergy. My youngest eats a bit more but not much .

my question is can I use there table service credit for my mother & sister and pay out of pocket for the boys meals .

My mom and sister are going with us but are not doing the dining plan.

if it can't be done, can I bring my own food into the restaurant, for them to eat .

thank you

Jennifer

Yes, you can pay for others on the dining plan, and pay for your sons out of pocket. No problem there.

You might want to run the numbers and see if the dining plan is for you. With all the price increases, you might find oop works better for your family. I know it does for ours.

For Disney dining, anyone 10 and up is an adult. On the regular dining plan (one table service, one quick service per day) the table service meals are differentiated between children and adults, so the 13 year old's TS meal credits could be used by any other adult, but the 9 year old's TS meals are only good for a child's meal. The quick service meals aren't differentiated, so you could use all of the kids' QS credits to buy QS meals for adults.

I wouldn't bring in separate food to a table service restaurant. Disney is very accommodating of allergies and other dietary needs. I would choose TS restaurants that have something on the menu that your child can eat and feed additional food outside the mealtime if needed. (I have a 9 year old DD with a selective eating disorder and this is what we do with her; she eats french fries in restaurants and we feed her peanut butter or cheese slices later outside of the restaurant.)

You can combine paying OOP and dining credits with no problem. Keep in mind your 9 year old will have a child credit, but the 13 year old will be an "adult" credit and it could be used for other members of your party. I'm making an assumption you're on the regular dining plan and not deluxe here because if you're on deluxe then what I just said doesn't apply because they pool all TS credits together and don't differentiate child/adult. The other thing to keep in mind here is if you are doing any type of AYCTE dining (i.e. character meal buffets) then it doesn't matter how much or little a person eats, everyone seated is charged a credit.

As for bringing your own food into a TS restaurants, I don't know if it's technically "allowed" or not, it probably is, but is it worth the hassle? For me personally, I would never do it, but I also wouldn't care if somebody else did. WDW is very accommodating with food requests for allergies, etc... so you should be able to work with them to get your kids something they would eat.
