im planning on cafe mickey, annettes diner and the steakhouse for my first visit. if you go to the restaraunt review thread at the top there are loads of pics that will have you crying for food in a couple of mins lol

I know..... I have a problem!! Lol!!

manxtatt2, my staple recommendations are Cafe Mickey, The Rainforest Cafe, and Annettes. My standard 'avoid like the plague' is Planet Hollywood. However, I can make recommendations based purely on other reviews (From the DIS and various other places) if you're into a certain type of food. :thumbsup2

I'll be interested to see what you think to these places, as I'm pretty sure I'm going for the same in January. Are you going for the Steakhouse brunch on a Sunday? I also considered the Lucky Nugget, although the reviews are a little mixed.

Hi Joolz! If I remember rightly you're a veggie? Apparantly The Lucky Nugget isn't very good for veggies.... I can remember someone saying it was pretty much just salad and chips!

Annettes is very good........ Their milkshakes are AMAZING!!

As for daytime fayre, you're thinking counter service, yes?? Pizzeria Belle Notte is meant to be nice, as is the Cowboy Cookout. A lot of people also rave about the Croque Monseiur's (Spelling has gone out of the window today I'm afraid!) from Victorias Home Style. Casey's Corner is also very popular for a bite at lunchtimes.

Walts is amazing for a lovely sit down meal!! And my recommendation to everyone who'll listen!!

I know, but I didn't recommend it here because off season apparantly Walts is only gonna be open for lunch.

Ah, I didn't realise we were only tlaking nighttime. Sorry - should have read more!

Well, if you fancy a big lunch one day - Walts should be a definite consideration!!

I'd go for Cafe Mickey, Annette's and Auberge de Cendrillon (the last one if you have a little girl who likes princesses)

What an amazing memory! So, do you think my choices are ok? Cafe Mickey, The Steakhouse and Annette's? I'm going by reviews I've read, as I've never eaten at any of these before. I'm halfboard plus and I know I'll have to pay extra for CM's.

I don't know if I'd recommend Annettes for a veggie as the only veggie option I can recall is a big veggie salad. They do a veggie burger from the takeaway window, but I'm not sure if they offer those to sit in.

Cafe Mickey should be fine, and I believe the Steakhouse does a pasta (With WHITE TRUFFLE!! Wow!!) for a veggie option, so those two should be okay! :thumbsup2

It's just the 3rd option I'm stuck on! I've always had less choice as a veggie, so I'm used to it, but I'd like to have something other than a salad on a cold winter's night! Decided against Auberge as I realised I would be paying a lot of money to see the princesses as the food wasn't really to my taste or the girls'. I also thought the princesses might be mute like the other characters and my DD(4) would not get that at all!:rotfl:

Is Auberge de Cendrllon ok for a soon-to-be-30 year old who still wants to be a princess ?:rolleyes1 ;)

The princesses do talk to the children if I remember rightly, but I do agree that its a lot of money for a meal you don't really want to eat.

The Agrabah Cafe is meant to be good for Veggies, but it doesn't seem to open frequently. I think the California Grill does a veggie meal, but its very expensive.... Some veggie posters on this board say that the Silver Spur is a nice place to eat for veggies, if thats any help?
