Hi,

Family of 4, looking for a hotel for stay at all grown up kids 18+ (2a&2c), quite happy sharing 1 room, for 4 nights in Sept, with 2 double/queen beds. Looking at spending £500/€600 for stay. We'll have a car, as driving to DLRP from UK.

Expedia our offering either Dream Castle or Magic Circus for £500 including breakfast and 1 free DLRP ticket...though it looks as if the room are double bed, and bunk bed, and the hotel looks at bit ...uh.

Explores at £440 with free ticket, bunk bed situation again

Kyriad at Disneyland £359, bunk beds again with free ticket

and finally Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe £336 NO free ticket. I like the look of this one the best, it has double beds, and has got the shopping centre....I also read that as this is a Disney recommend hotel, you can EMH and free parking at Disney is this right?? I can't see anything about it on the hotel's website?

Which is the nicest, and closest to Disney?

We've got the car, so can drive into Disney everyday, I've read parking is €15 a day :( But I don't mind using the shuttles, as long as it doesn't take 30-1hr to get into and out of the parks everyday, which of these hotel operates the best shuttle system?

Advice?

Thanks :)

I did a quick price check for the on site Santa Fe hotel (includes tickets) and I think it might be best for you, as after a quick calculation I think it works out cheaper than staying offsite and buying tickets every day.

Its not a long walk to the parks, or you can use the free shuttle bus. It includes free breakfast and EMH too.

when you say "free ticket" OP, what do you mean? And is that the price per person you're quoting from Expedia? And finally how many days do you want to spend in the parks at DLP during your stay?

thanks guys, i've already got some free tickets from different promotions going on. so i'm only looking for a hotel.

the expedia deal, is just one ticket per booking.

we're looking at spending 3 full days in the parks.

@elstoleno , did u do that on the offical Disney site?

Don't think you get EMH at the l'Elysee Val d'Europe anymore, it stopped in Jan

You can get the RER each way from Val d'Europe, it takes less than 5 minutes and 10 tickets would cost you 12,70€. Otherwise you could park in the Vinci Disney Village parking and it costs 8€ for 24hrs.

Not only is it cheaper than the main Disney car park but it is so much closer :)

I agree with elstoleno :) Santa Fe would probably be your best option. Although it is not the most glamorous of Disneyland Hotels, it is not bad at all and I was quite comfortable staying there.

Staying in Disneyland hotels are always worth it as they are so close and you get frequent shuttle buses. Also you usually get Disney Express which is definitely worth doing and your extra early hours are definitely worth it as it allows you to enter the park 2 hours before it is opened to the general public, it is usually very quiet at this time so you can ride all the rides in fantasyland before the queues or wait by the other land entrances so you can run in as soon as they open them so you can get on the rides early :D

Yeah that price was from the official Disney site, but you might be better off staying off site if you already have some park tickets, but atm 1 day 2 park tickets are coming up at around £200 a day for 4 people :|

Depends when you are off as there are offers around for well under that especially with the £/€ rate :thumbsup2

so just to clarify OP, you don't need to buy any park tickets for the duration of your stay?

If thats the case, offsite is definitely going to be your best option price-wise in September.

I'd forget about the Dream Castle and Magic Circus hotels, as those hotels standard rooms for 4 are one double and one set of bunks - and the bunks aren't full-length so would not suit 4 adults.

Explorers standard rooms for 4 are one double and 2 single beds.

I don't know what the standard configuration is for 4 in the Kyriad.

All 4 of those hotels have a free shuttle service so you wouldn't need your car parking/RER fares at all. The L'Elysee has no EMH, does have a free shuttle but its not particularly regular.

If you're 4 adults, going midweek in September for 3 days once the school holidays are over, you won't need EMH either, as the parks will be quiet.

We're going on the 12th Sept, we're probably going to only need tickets for 1 day, between us.

Also does DLRP do the pre-packaged mickey mouse ice cream cookie sandwiches?

I'm trying to get prices, on the Disney website, but everytime I put my dates in then proceed...it goes to an error screen? :S

no, DLP doesn't do ice cream Mickey sandwiches. Different park, different snacks and treats :).

If you book online with Disney for DLP, you'll automatically get park tickets included in the price for the duration of stay, for all of you. So it will be expensive. You can call Disney on the normal booking line to get room only prices, but don't expect them to be cheap either.

Expedia often sells onsite room only, but again, its usually much cheaper to stay offsite but nearby.
