Day 8- Le Cellier 2:30 late lunch (*may cancel & do cs- cheaper) (1/2 day- afternoon/night)

So far, here are my adr's. I'm staying offsite so paying OOP. My family has never been to Disney, so no idea on budgeting and the best places. Would you cancel or change any adr and why and what are the best counter services in the parks that have kid friendly food? Thanks!:wizard:

I like all of the restaurants you have chosen. The only one we have never eaten at is Prime Time. We have never done our table service meals at lunch. We just like dinner time ADRs better.

We eat a light breakfast in our room. Arrive at the park at park opening. Tour the parks until lunch. Eat a counter service meal. Tour the parks again. Have our table service meals about 7:45 p.m. or so. This still give us time to tour the parks efficiently and see the night time entertainment.

Our favorite counter service meals are listed below. My 9 year old is one of the pickiest eaters I know and he likes the food at all of the following:

Magic Kingdom:
Pecos Bills and Pinocchio's Village Haus

Epcot:
Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion

MGM Studios:
Backlot Express and Toy Story Pizza Planet (a must do for kids)

Animal Kingdom:
Flame Tree and Pizzafari

Hope this helps, Lisa

Here are my suggestions:

Day 1-arrival- Bahama Breeze offsite
Day 2- MK- Crystal Palace 8:05am breakfast, late lunch Columbia Harbour House or Liberty Tree Tavern
Day 3- AK- lunch Flame Tree, dinner Rainforest Cafe (may I suggest Tusker House?)
Day 4- EF-lunch Garden Grill 11:30, dinner Coral Reef
Day 5- MGM- Sci-Fi lunch, 50s Prime Time dinner
Day 6- MK- Chef Mickey 11:10am late breakfast, dinner Liberty Tree Tavern or Pinocchio Village Haus
Day 7- SW, ??_________________ ________________
Day 8- Le Cellier 2:30 late lunch dinner I would choose a CS someplace - so many to choose from....??

You will notice that I changed your "Day 5". I love Sci-Fi but only for lunch. I think 50s is great for dinner...

I updated my eating schedule with the tips after I calculated how much I am spending on food, yikes:eek: ! It about totals what I spend on the condo! I've been on a diet since late Jan and have lost 32 lbs, yay, but am not dieting at Disney, but not spending too much $$ hopefully :goodvibes .

My kids are 5 & 6, so I figured they may need a few 1/2 days to rest and swim. I may change my adr from Chef Mickey to WCC breakfast, since I read its really fun too & cheaper. I also switched Rainforest Cafe for Pizzafari to cut that bill in 1/2. I'm still debating cancelling Le Cellier, since EW seems to have great cs and I'm the only excited one on trying it, since dh is a big kid too. I'm keeping Prime Time since its dh's bday and our anniversary and he really wants that one- can I order from the kids menu here? I think I should keep CP & GG, I think the kids will love them and thats worth it.

Goodness, b4 planning this Disney trip, I never knew how much thought needed to be put into planning what to eat, lol.

I didn't plan any night dinners b/c ds wakes up early and is on adhd meds so til about 2pm goes smoothly. By afternoon he is cranky and he goes to bed at 8pm, so don't want to subject other rest guests to that, lol. My dd on the other hand, would stay up til midnight if allowed.

The meals at Primetime are very large and we always share when we are not on the dining package. We've never had a problem sharing there. I understand about cutting down on the meals, it can be expensive. Eating at WDW is only part of the magic, not all of it! Your new plan sounds like it will work out great! Remember, you can also share cs meals, they are also large portions.

My stepson has ADD and we got a new med that lasts all day as we had the same problem. I'd talk to your doctor about your 2pm problem. It has helped us immensely!
