1st timer...how many days to enjoy the parks?

We will be visiting Universal for the first time. we usuallydo Disney each year.
Being 1st time visitors with a 12 yr old ...How many days should be purchase our park passes for in order to fully take advantage of what the parks have to offer.
We will be staying on site at Disney and have a 2-3 day park hopper as well... is a 3 day park pass enough?

1 Full day for each park and IF You have the time an extra day to catch anything you missed is perfect to see it all.When are you planning on going?

3 days is perfect.

if you are not sure you want to buy 3 day passes, buy the 2 day passes.

on day #2, you can upgrade those passes to a 3 day.

you need to do that before you leave the park.

you pay the difference for the extra day tickets.

We were first timers this past January and had the three day park hoppers for meself, hubby and 8yr old twins.

We did one day at US, one at IOA and the 3rd day split between the two to hit stuff we missed or do favs again (WWOHP) The first time at Wizarding World the ride lines were not too bad but the shops were so crowded you could barely move so we left to do other areas of the park. It was nice knowing we did not have to battle the crowds because we could come back another time.

3 days was perfect!
