This will be our 1st time in Disney with the kids (we stayed in 1998 EEK) without them.

We are flying in on Jet Blue on a Wed night.flight arrives @ 9PM. We are staying POFQ for 7 nights and renting a car from Budget.
So here are my questions.

Does anyone know if we need to take a shuttle from Jet Blue terminal to the Budget rental counter?

Does it pay for us to take DME to the resort and rent the car from DTD the next Day or just grab all our luggage and rent the car right at the airport?

Could we send our luggage on DME and just get the car at airport so we don't have to shlep it?

If we do decide to take our luggage and get car at airport do we just drop luggage at POFQ check in and it gets delivered to our room? if so how long does that usually take. Since it will be late and the kids would probably need to go to sleep for an early start to Disney fun.

hmm think that' it for now. I'm sure that I'll have more questions later :)

Thanks

I'd just get rental car at airport. Budget is right in terminal. No shuttle! take your luggage, Don't think you can use dme for just luggage, plus you don't know when they will deliver, could be very very late. When you check in you can either take luggage to your room or have bellman deliver. Make sure to tip him dollar per bag. At that time, should not take to long for delivery, but easier to just take with you.

A few thoughts. First, DME isn't intended to be used as a luggage delivery service. Can you use it just for luggage? Yes, but there could be issues, so it's something to think long and hard about.
Actually, DME stops getting and delivering luggage at 10pm each night...so if your flight is delayed, you may not even be able to let them take the luggage.
The other thing.....it takes up to 3 hrs, after resort checkin (note I didn't say arrival at the airport!!), to get your bags in your room. If you let DME take your bags, you might not get those bags until 1am!!! Not good with kids.

I would just plan on getting the bags at baggage claim and then heading right to DME. When you get off the tram, from your gate to the main terminal, head right down to baggage claim, level 2 (you arrived on level 3), get your bags and then continue on down to level 1....you just walk to the Budget counter.

You will have to bring your bags to your room with you. Otherwise, Luggage Assistence can take a while to get it to you...they aren't all that speedy late at night. And you will be expected to tip them.
Rent the car, get your luggage and get checked in. It shouldn't be a long walk with your luggage to the room. POFQ is pretty compact. If you want, you can have them bring the bags to the room, but like I said, it may not be very fast. And if your flight gets in, on time, at 9pm, you won't be at POFQ until close to 10:15/10:30. You'll want those bags with you so you can unpack and put the kiddos to bed.
