Hello - we are taking our 4 year old son to WDW for the first time in 2 weeks. He is a VERY picky eater so I wondering if we are allowed to bring in snacks (goldfish, cereal, etc.) in our backpack. Also - given all the extra security everywhere, are they searching bags before you enter the gates? Just wondering if we should allocate extra time for standing in line there too. I plan to bring ponchos for rain, sunscreen and bug spray of couse . . . is there anything else we should think about packing for our days at the park? We are staying off site since we are coming with family (15 total) and not all of us are going to Disney. This is our introduction trip, we definately plan on coming back and staying onsite next time. Thanks for your help!:cool1:

We were there last Aug/Sept with our 14 month old and 4 year old. We had no trouble taking our own snacks/drinks into the park for the kids! We also took bottle of water for ourselves.

There are separate lines if you are bringing in bags to be searched! From what I remember they went pretty quickly -- we just made sure we had our bags out and opened and it was a breeze!

Hope that helps!

They do check bags and those lines move very quickly. They don't care about snacks, we take them in too. They are really just checking bags to make sure you aren't bringing in anything dangerous. Have fun!
