April 8-11th my family and I will be going to WDW. Then a cruise to the Bahamas for 4 nights. This is our first family trip on a plane, first cruise and first trip to WDW. At that time by DS will be 7, DD 5, and my other DS 2. My husband loves good food (not different), and I am very adventurous in all things. Any tips or advice would be amazing. Especially what to do see and do! There are so many musts and I have several books but narrowing things down is a challenge. I need weeks!!!

So I have a few questions for you:
Are you doing a Disney Cruise as well as WDW?
Are you looking for good food options at WDW?
Are you looking for ideas for things for the kids to do at WDW as well as the cruise? (I can only help you with the cruise if it is Disney, since I haven't tried another cruise line)

So exciting to be planning your first trip! If you haven't already, try to get your hands on the latest copy of The Unofficial Guide to WDW. Before my first visit I read it cover to cover (not really…but I read a LOT! And I would then go back and reference it every time we planned another trip). It was really helpful to start planning!

I would start by looking up the crowd calendars for April and the choosing your park days. You really have only 3 days at WDW, or 2.5 depending on the time you arrive. Try to figure out which parks you would like to visit and when. Then we can talk about where and what to eat.

PS-I am also going down April 6-11th and staying at The Poly, and then going on the Dream to the Bahamas April 11-15th, then coming back to do 2 more nights at BLT. If that's the cruise you are going on, search these boards for our cruise meet and I'm sure you'll get a lot of great advice there!!

So I have a few questions for you:
Are you doing a Disney Cruise as well as WDW? - Yes, WDW will be first. We have the pass hoppers, because I wanted everyone to experience a little bit of every park, but I don't know how realistic that is.
Are you looking for good food options at WDW? Yes! I do have the Unofficial Guide for WDW and the for Guide for kids and have been reading through those.
Are you looking for ideas for things for the kids to do at WDW as well as the cruise? We are going on the Disney Dream after WDW. So any tips there would be fantastic. Do we really need to do an excursion?

Looks like we will be on the same cruise! Thanks for the calendar tip! That seems like a good way to start.

Awesome! Here's the link to our cruise..

April 11, 2016 Dream Cruise

There's a lot of talk about Fish Extensions there. I haven't decided yet if I want to participate in that yet...seems like a lot of work to me but I'm sure it's fun!

Happy Planning!
