1st time using a placeholder

I understand with a placeholder you have to call to book. Will the 10% be valid with the TREASURE or not?? Anyone remember if they used one when the WISH came out. I really don’t want to be on the phone for hours and then find out I can’t use it on the new ship.
If I can’t use it on the TREASURE I’ll just switch dates because there is a 2,000 difference in the price.

As far as I have seen (on another social media site) the only cruises that you cannot use a placeholder for on the Treasure are the maiden Dec 21st and the cruise right after that (Dec 28th) since that is a NYE cruise and the NYE cruises are always blocked out.

Probably the Maiden voyage will be a blackout for placeholders. Otherwise I expect just the usual holidays. I’m pretty sure that was true of the Wish as well.

When the Treasure starts its normal schedule, you'll be able to apply your placeholder discount to those sailings. This page hasn't been updated yet, but certainly it will list whatever Treasure sailings are blocked out: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/future-cruise-onboard-offer/

Thank you for the replies, decided on the week that has the cheaper price and that will be past the time we can use the placeholder. Unless I find something for 2024 to use the discount.

Regarding the placeholder, if we are not going to use it at all when do we get a refund on it. Can I call now or do I need to wait until it expires in 2025??

You can call now and cancel if you're sure you won't use it. Otherwise it will automatically cancel/refund when it expires.

Thanks for the info, I think I will call and cancel. We only like to cruise every other year and it’s obviously not going to work for our 2025 dates.
