Today I decided to sleep in a little while my mom and step dad did the Flag Family thing but it was not to be--did I really think my 5 year old was going to sleep?
She decided that she wanted to go to see the flags too so off the 3 of them went. My sisters and I sat around the rooms and drank coffee and fixed breakfast for everyone and waited to hear how it went. When they came back, my step father's face was all lit up and he was so excited. I am so gald that he got to do this. We all ate breakfast and then it was off to Epcot.
We got to Epcot around 10:30a.m. and walked around for the longest time just looking at everything. THen we decided to head over to the Living Seas. My daughter loved looking at the dolphins. We got to watch some of the training of the dolphins and the feeding of them. It was neat. We then headed over to see the 3-D movie-"Honey, I shrunk the audience." Most of us liked it but it did frighten my daughter at times. She loved the ending with the dog though so she forgot that it had scared her. We then decided that we were all a touch hungry so we headed over to the Electric Umbrella for a quick lunch. After lunch we headed over to the world showcase.
We went into Mexico and rode the boat ride and did some shopping--okay someone needs to tell me what I was thinking when I bought my daughter the pinta that she wanted--how was I going to pack that thing???? We then took our time and walked through most of the countries and watched the parade. My mom (who is chicken by nature) loved the ride in Norway so while my daughter and I headed over to Morocco to see if we could find Aladdin and Jasmine, everyone stayed in Norway so Mom could ride again. We did find Aladdin and Jasmine and it was great. It seemed we were the only ones looking for them. There was no one there so they spent a great deal of time with Chey. The two of them were lovely. Very friendly. Chey loved it. The two of us then headed over to the United Kingdom and got caught up in a street performance with Father Christmas. He was a lovely man and the stories that he told were funny. Chey is still a little frightened of Santa Claus but she really seemed to like this one. His costume was awesome. It was all green velet and white fur--absolutely beautiful. By the time the stories were done with it was time to meet the rest of my family over at the International Gateway to walk over to the Yacht and Beach Club for dinner. They were all there so we walked the short distance to the Club.
The lobby of the Yacht and Beach Club was gorgeous. I loved the carosuel and was amazed to learn that it was gingerbread. I ended up buying a gingerbread house that they were selling at the Buffet. Dinner was great and even Chey who usually only likes shrimp, tried different things. She decided that she loved clams. After dinner we went back to the resort. My mom took my daughter to the pool while my sisters and I went to Downtown Disney to check out the stores there.
The shops were great and I could have stayed there all night but luckily my sisters wouldn't let me lol. I have decided that I am going to need another suitcase to bring home all the stuff I have bought so I bought a huge carpet bag with the classic pooh and friends on it in Pooh's Corner and had it delivered to the resort. We then headed off to the resort to get some sleep. We are getting up early tomorrow to head to the Animal Kingdom for breakfast with Donald Duck.
