We have booked our first resort stay in ASMu just wondered if anyone has good reports from the hotel as all we have seen is mixed reviews :confused3

Any views or comments really appreciated.:goodvibes :goodvibes

We're staying there this summer. We've stayed at ASSp on two previous trips.

It is the most basic of Disney accommodation but we love it. It has a food court but no table service restaurant and the activities at the hotel are very limited (swimming, games arcade and kiddies playground.) The transport from here is just by bus, but we used our hire car most of the time so I can't really tell you much about it.

The hotel suited us very well and still had plenty of "Disney magic" about it.

There are some nice photos on the resorts board

there are pictures of all three All Star Resorts but as you can walk from one to another (via the car park) it's nice to see them all.

There are more photos here on Allears.net

Ive stayed at ASMO 3 times and loved it there :goodvibes The resorts have loads of Disney magic, the pools are good, service is great etc. You will have a great time :cool1:

We don't get the value resorts. Stayed at Movies about 8 years ago, most basic room we have ever stayed in, we don't use buses but had to when Alamo ran out of cars, they were overcrowded with ignorant people( but it was Xmas) don't eat in food courts, the only appeal we could find were the oversized figures but you can stay offsite and go in and see them free.
Stayed at AKL last year which was good for 3 nights, not sure I could have put up with the uncomfortable bed for any longer but the view from the balcony was fantastic.
This Aug will be a test 16 nights at OKW with free DDP, was cheaper than a budget hotel offsite.
We much prefer offsite, just don't get the 'Disney Magic' onsite others get but many love the values so you have tio try for yourself.

I stayed at Pop last summer, and found a fortnight of disney a wee bit too much.

If you havent hired a car id say you should make sure you do.

The disney trasport is excellent, but its more problematic getting off disney property if you dont use taxis all the time.

We,ve stayed there twice and thought it was great. A car would be better, as the busses can be crowded because it stops at music and sports aswell.
I know the resort does'nt have all the extras, but it does have the Disney magic.

Have never stayed at music but stayed at movies 5 times. We loved it and the only reason we didn't stay the last time is we are a family of 5 so no longer fit.

We visited music several times and they seemed to have some organised kids activities around teh pool and a film outside at night.

Some people hate the value resorts but I love them and so do the kids. I've been to many disney resorts but I love the huge disney characters etc that are in the values.

We stayed at Music for a fortnight in October 2007 and had a great time. The rooms were plenty big enough, the mousekeeping was very good, the food court was great, we would definately stay there again.:thumbsup2

We bought DVC whilst we were there and will still be staying at the All Stars for part of the next trip because my kids really loved it there, and they aren't little kids who are easily pleased, they are 15 and 16 year old girls.:rotfl:

Thanks everybody sounds like we made a good choice, not that we will be in the hotel much, too many parks to enjoy!
