I've never reserved online before so any tips on how to do it quickly. I've tried a test run but it seems like it will take forever to go search through each reservation. Do you need to put credit card info each time?

The best way to make your ADRs is to make them at 6 AM Eastern time on the 180 days out date. Just go one by one through the restaurants you want. And yes, you will have to put in your credit card info each time.

It seems to take so long to scroll through the list! Can't you put a credit card into your Disney account to save time?
Yes, you can! If you save your credit card in your Disney account, you can use it to make reservations quicker. I don't have one saved to my account so I just enter in the number each time.

If you plan on booking a meal at "Be Our Guest" or "O'hana", you may want to try booking them first. They can be hard to get.

Add Sci-Fi, Tusker House pre-park opening and CRT to the list of tough to get.

Also if you have an odd-numbered party, bump it up by one and modify it later. Disney's software has an idiocincracy where it will not automatically find a table for 4 when you are booking for 3 people even though you would be seated at the exact same table - so the reservations for 3 are harder to get than for 4.

To piggy back on this....depending on how long your trip is I had more success setting these ADR later in our trip. BOG and Ohana go quick so if you want those go get them first.

To the right of each restaurant is a heart. If you click the heart you add the restaurant to your wish list in your MDE account. You must be signed into your account to do this and it saves me a ton of time! At 6:00 you just need to be logged in and click on your wish list and all the restaurants you saved will be right there.:) Good luck!

So we have 7 in our party so I should try for 8? Then can I go in later and just subtract 1?

Yes, OR all 7 of you can show up to the ADR and you will not be charged for this 8th person who does not show up.

Prioritize your restaurant's and go for the tough ones first. Those would be BOG.......Cinderella's Castle.......Ohana...........Chef Mickey's. Also if you have 180+10. So if possible put the tougher resi's later in your trip since not as many folk will have booked for those days. If you first day is a Monday.............and you want BOG...........see if your plan allows for booking on Thursday or Friday.

Good luck!

So all the days of my reservation will show up on my first day to book? I'm very nervous about all this! I looked at the week before our trip and there is no availability for BOG any day so I'm not very optimistic.

Yes, unless you are doing a split stay. How long is your length of stay?

Open a new window just for ADRs. Have each restaurant you want to book in its own tab, and be logged into MDE and refresh each tab ~3 min before start time. Go after the hard-to-get ADRs first and be flexible with times/dates (try for dates as late as possible in your trip if you can).

Once you have a My Disney Experience account & have made one ADR with it, your credit card info should be saved in the system, so you don't have to type it in every time.

Why not practice - make a reservation for a restaurant say 60 days out, then cancel it. That way you won't be slowed down by any surprises and you'll have a little practice.
Be aware that many otherwise easy to get Epcot restaurants are hard to get due to slots being held back for the Candlelight processional package - I have a fill in ADR booked right now that I'll change once they open the CP slots.
Be flexible, grab the ADR and move on, you can always tweak things later. Don't get hung up on one restaurant, move on and then come back to the one that caused the problem. W/ hard to get ADRs like BOG try for late into your vacation then run through other possible days.

To save scrolling through the whole list of restaurants, I just put the restaurant name in the search bar and it comes right up, huge time saver.

Enter your cc info on your profile and it will come up during the ADR process and you just have to select it, rather than enter the info again.

Prioritize your reservations, don't necessarily book in the order of your vacation, book them in order of difficulty to get. For example, if you want BOG or CRT, for example, then try for those ones first regardless of what day they are on. Also a good tip to put the hardest to get restaurants near the end of your trip to take better advantage of the +10 on your 180 +10 days to book.

If you are not finding an ADR you want, try selecting a specific time (i.e 6:00pm) instead of just "dinner" or vice versa. Also, try changing the number you're trying to reserve. If you are a party of 3, try for a table of 4, as an example, sometimes an opening will pop up. You will not be charged any penalty for showing up with fewer people than what you have the ADR for.

Thanks for all your help! I got everything I wanted except skipper canteen, go figure? I got some crazy times but I'm still thrilled. If I see a better time and I want to switch do I have to cancel my current reservation first? I don't want to lose what I have then someone scarfs up my new time before I complete the reservation.
