1st time home, what should we pack??

Hey everyone! We just bought SSR and are taking our first trip home this Tuesday. We are in a studio which should be great for just the two of us adults. My only question is, what do we need to bring that would be different from a normal Disney resort? Laundry detergent and things like that? Any pointers are greatly appreciated!!

Hi and Congratulations on buying into SSR! You'll really like it there.

If you're in a studio your washer/dryer are at the pool areas. They are free to use. Bring detergent unless you want to pay $1.00 for the vending machine size.

We usually bring or buy water to keep in the refrigerator..It's so expensive in the parks. We ususally freeze some and take it out the morning that we are heading to the parks. We've never had any problem bringing it in.

We bring enough coffee filters and coffee for the length of stay as they only provide one coffee pack when you first check in and then another on the 4th day. If we are planning on breakfast in the room I have also brought a couple of plastic dishes for cereal or fruit as there are usually only a couple of paper plates and bowls in a studio. We are arriving at OKW on Tuesday so lets hope the weather is great and the crowds are small. Have a wonderful trip.

I always suggest bringing a canvas or mesh shoe organizer that hangs over the door. We hang it on the bathroom door and put everything from lotions to medicines to razor, etc. Counter space is at a minimum in the studio so this really helps keep things tidy and frees up counter space.
