1st time flying since they started charging for check luggage. When/where do you pay?

Flying Delta. I usually do online check-in for my flight to wdw, do you pay the full amout round trip then? Wait until you get to the airport? If I can't pay it all when doing online check in from home, do I pay at AKL as I check in with TSA/Delta when we're leaving to go home? Not sure how it works. First time flying since they started charging.

To Disney, you should check in for your flight on line, when you do, you will be given the option to choose how many checked bags you will be bringing and you will be able to pay for them. If you attempt to pay at the airport, the cost is a tad more.

When you leave Disney, if you are driving yourself, check in online before you arrive at the airport (if you don't have a computer with you, guest services/concierge can assist you) and repeat the process. You can also use Resort Airline Checkin (RAC) to check your luggage. You will receive a packet the night before checkout with this process, but you will need to call a number for BAGS to pay for your checked bag fees. RAC has a specific process, so make sure you follow the instructions provided (ie. 3 hours before flight, hours of operation, ensuring you have enough time to have your luggage checked before 3 hours if there is a line, etc.).

Thanks! I guess it's the leaving AKL I'm most concerned about. I've done RAC before but that was b/4 Delta started charging for bags. So I just call a phone number (I guess the night b/4 because flight leave at 7:30am and taking ME) to pay for the checked bags. Do I have that right?

Since your flight leaves at 7:30 AM, you won't be able to use RAC, so you should plan to check-in for your flight and pay for bags online so that when you arrive at the airport you can check them.

Thanks a bunch, you've been very helpful. I didn't even know I was leaving too early to RAC. Hope I can get guest services to let me use a computer. I've got internet on my phone but it's a pain to use.

You won't have any issues with guest services assisting you to check-in.
