We added a couple of days to the start of our vacation. Wont get the tags in time, DME reservation is confirmed though. I have considered taking picture of our luggage then giving that and the claim check numbers (taking pictures of them with phone so I have those numbers in my possession also) to the DME folks. Since I dont know how to describe them other then red with mickey stickers on them lol.

So this time I'll get to stand in the DME counter line correct since I'll need to give them all that information? Or of course I could get my bags and take them, if I do that, since I wont have a booklet, do I still stand in the line, or will they be able to hook me up with just my name?

When you check your luggage - the airline will give you the claim tags. Hang on to those and show them to the DME counter when you arrive in Orlando. Can't remember if they photocopied them or wrote the number down, but that's how they retrieved our bags when we did a last minute trip.

Call Disney's Magical Express (DME) Guest Services right away at 1-866-599-0951. Provide your new resort reservation details.

Depending on whether your additional days at the start of your vacation are in the WDW system as a new reservation (at the same resort or at a different resort) or as an update of your existing reservation, you might need a new DME reservation for your arrival.

DME might still be able to send new tags to you.

It's and add on to the front end, AKL jambo instead of kidani, so new reservation, as stated, DVC has already said I wont be getting tags.

In that case, make sure you have a new DME reservation for your arrival.

Because you have two separate, back-to-back reservations, you need a one-way inbound DME reservation associated with your first resort reservation and a one-way outbound DME reservation associated with your second resort reservation.

It costs nothing to call Disney's Magical Express (DME) Guest Services at 1-866-599-0951. The agent who answers can make sure that everything is set up correctly. Regardless of what DVC Member Services told you, DME might still be able to express-ship a new DME packet to you for your arrival. If not, the agent can tell you exactly what to do.

What hours does DME man the phones?
I will give them a call.

It's no real big deal to pick up your luggage at MCO. We didn't get our tags or DME tickets in Dec 2012 so picked up our luggage ourselves. The bags were coming out almost as soon as we got to the carousel. When we went to the DME area, we went to the counter and just gave our names and they printed new tickets for the bus for us. Didn't even need a reservation number or anything. My name was enough.

Called them on the way home last night. They are going to send them out express and we'll see what happens!!
