Well, one good place to start is right here. Just scroll through the various threads and read what others have done, and, once you have more specific questions, post them. We've very friendly here.

You can look at past Navigators here: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/personal-navigators/.

You can also look in the trip report section and search for trip reports that are like your cruise. If I do a quick search, several threads pop up and below are 2 you might want to read to start getting a feel for the cruises:

Like Shmoo said, poke around and read the reports and threads.
I did a Pre-Trip Report for our cruise and that helped me highlight things I wanted to remember and help me get organized.
