We are set to sail on the Dream from March 2-6, 2011. We just got information about our room: Cat 5A, room 9556, deck 9. Just wondering if this is a good location as we are first time cruisers and did not choose our room category. My husband has earned this trip through his work and they made all travel arrangements for us.

Any information you can share is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

One of the important tings to look at is what is below and above you. You can go to the Disney Cruise Line Website and clik on ships (Dream) then deck plan. I looked and there are state rooms below and above you. That's what you want. If you are by the theaters or night clubs you can hear the noise.

A few more things. You are about midship . It's a good place to be. Read these boards a lot you will find good tips. My tops three

1. Get there early the first day they start boarding aroung 11:00 bring the boys swim suites in a carry on so they can swim before the pool gets crowded. Your luggage goes to your room and you can't get to until later 2 or 3 if I remember.

2. When using the elevators go all the way to the front or back ( this worked good on the Wonder and Magic) these elevators were not as busy as the midship elevators.

3. And my favorite with 4 people in a small space ( but not as small as other cruise lines) it's hard to keep things organized. So purchase a CLEAR over the door shoe holder and hang it on the outside of the bathroom door. This makes it easier to have a place to put everything. Target has them for about $8.00

The dollar tree has them also.

I specifically selected 9560 two doors down from yours for our June trip. Of course I think you got a good one. ;)
