In 1st stages of planning my 1st ever Cruise and chose the Disney Cruises.
Traveling with DH and 2 DD's ages 4 and 7.
Need help getting started. Any Suggestions or Ideas or Input ??
Looking at the Land & Sea Package !!
Anyone doen the Land & Sea ?? Comments ?? princess: :flower1:

I have done the sea and land package. It was like a whitman sampler. We got a taste of everything. It was very exhausting though. We did not realize that till we got home. Some people on the boards suggest that you book to two different. I did it all together. What ever catagorey you pick drives what hotel you get. So if you want a budget hotel and a cat 7 you should book them seperately. These are the basics. If you have any further questions just ask. Happy sailing :boat:

Welcome aboard the Board :boat:

You've come to the right place, there are tons of cruise experts here. One thing I've read here is that if you are budget-conscious it works out best to book each aspect of your trip seperately (land, sea air). It also gives you the most flexibility.

Happy planning!

We did it separate when we did the Wonder cruise in 2002. I honestly couldn't imagine doing parks for 3 straight days and then the cruise for 4 or vice / versa. In our case we did the ship first. We had 2 port stops so the cruise was very, very, busy as well. And, yes, I got off the ship exhausted. I was so glad when we got in to Orlando, was able to spread out in a 2 bedroom villa and go at our own pace. We did a 4 day cruise follwed by a week in Orlando. I know the land and sea is very popular and there are a lot of people who do it all in 7 days, but I wouldn't.

There is tons of info on these boards. You'd have to start with the basics on the length of your cruise and when you want to go. What type of stateroom you'd like / can afford. Then you'll go from there gathering your info. I personally love the planning, and find it to be a big part of the fun. These boards will help you sooo much. But, be warned, they're addicting!!!! :D

Good Luck,
Jenn
