Never paid too much attention to posts, have gone on 3 cruises and the 4th one book, but I have a friend who is booked for 1st cruise and I was wondering if he could have gotten a onboard credit of $50 like I saw some posts mentioned. Anybody got an answer? He didn't take my advice and book thru DU who I think are a lot more helpful for 1st time cruisers, booked on line for cheapest price with some TA in Florida. Thanks

I booked directly through Disney & I didn't know about any 1st time cruise credit until I found this site. I just called Disney back & asked them about it & they gave it to me. I think it was only $25, but something is better than nothing.

I was on the magic last Easter and recieved a 75$ credit at the port for being a "Disney Club" member. I am not sure if the club is still running that promotion. It was for first time cruisers...also I paid w/DVC points.

I booked with DVC points last year and could not get the Disney Club credit applied because I booked with points. Go figure!!

I was given all kinds of answers concerning using points and getting credit prior to the cruise...from MS as well as from disney club.....I decided it was worth pursueing (sp) when I got to the port. As you can see ...it bought me a few drinks!:smooth: :Pinkbounc :smooth: :Pinkbounc :smooth:

I booked through AAA, got a $100 credit on my stateroom when I got to the ship, and I'm still not sure if it was from "first time cruiser", concierge, AAA, DC, or soemthing else. I didn't complain!

We booked a 4 night cruise sailing on 9/03 through DU and were told that we would receive a $25 on board credit as a first time Disney Cruiser. :D

I would also like to know for certain about this as I saw an earlier thread saying there was $25 credit for first time cruisers. Since we have 2 staterooms booked, that would be $50 for us. When I called my TA @ cruise.com, she said she had never heard of it, she called DCL (she said) and again said there was no such thing. Any other info to contradict this? Would be really interested. thanks:D

My friend and I are going on the Wonder March 23-27 2003. We each got a $25 first time cruiser credit. We booked trough AAA. Plus AAA has the unlimited refill mugs as their free gift. That should come in way handy, as I am an avid soda drinker. :p
Pluse we got an additional $50 off our package price. You just gotta know how to work these people. We are doing the 7 day Land and Sea package if that makes any difference. Cant wait!!!

We got the 50.00 credit for our upcoming cruise. (7 Day) You have to quote "REF" or I guess you won't get it. My TA said they were very secretive about the whole thing when she called to inquire about it. This credit is only for 1st timers.

My DH just called our TA. He told her we were reading about this on the DISboards and someone mentioned the code "REF". She is calling Disney and will be calling us back. I'll let you know what she tells us. Hey, the way I see it, it never hurts to ask!

Thanks for the info!

UPDATE: Our TA just called back and we got the credit. She asked "where did you find this, we didn't even know about it?" and DH told her "my dw cruises the messageboards and she found it on the DISboards!" Whoo hoo! Thank you all so much!

...but, they said "no", since we are booking through a group rate... My luck!
