Would you recommend Cat 5E for a first time cruiser? DH and I have cruised once before, but it was 10 years ago, and we had an inside cabin. I have Deck 10, Cat 5E on hold.

I find any room onboard the ship is fine. If it fits your budget and the size of the group, it's good.

That being said, I'm leery of booking rooms in the aft of the Fantasy, due to the vibration issue there. Hopefully, it will be fixed during her dry dock.

Thank you, does the Dream have the same vibration issues?

We have done aft on both Dream and Fantasy, and it was fine. The only time vibration was bothersome was pulling in to PC on disembarkation day. We were on deck 7 on the Dream and deck 6 on the Fantasy, and I would pick that location again in a heartbeat, very convenient to the elevators and the hallways were quiet.

We absolutely LOVE the Cat 5E cabins on the Dream and Fantasy. Our favorite is deck 8 or 9. We've never been on Deck 10 - I've been worried about noise from Deck 11, but that may be totally unfounded.....

Regarding vibration...The only time we really notice vibration is when the ship is pulling into a Port and/or turning around. I can't say that I've noticed a difference between the Dream & Fantasy in that regard.

Thanks for the input, I switched to deck 9. I'm excited. I've also added a day at WDW before our cruise, hoping to get to ride at least on Pandora ride.
