We have a reservation in a 1 bedroom at OKW. This is my first time at OKW. Can anyone tell me what area to request. I was told to request a building over #30 so bathroom entrance would be in hallway. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance :)

We LOVE OKW and our favorite Building is 55. I've heard 53 is great also, but everyone seems to love every other area too. As long as your @ OKW, I think you'll have a great room and time!

Hi there. Our family really likes building 14 and 35. Great locations, quiet, and near bus stops!

I like being on the highest floor for better views and no overhead noise (but I know others dislike walking up the stairs and would opt for ground floor!) In November we were in the Southpoint area and like it a lot. Haved requested that area for our trip next week so we'll see what happens. We've stayed at OKW lots of times...two locations I would try to avoid based on past experience: villas close to Bonnet Creek road (traffic noise) and villas right beside the pool(late into the night noise from partying adults).

iwould recommend you request an area ,i.e. South Point, Old Turtle Pond .You are more likley to get that request than a specific building.I always prefered OldTurtle pond , it was away from the traffic, has its own pool and just hop on any bus an your at the front.

We like the Turtle Pond area, specifically buildings 32-34. They are close to the bus stop and close enough to walk to HH for swimming (at the main pool) and supplies. The Turtle Pond pool area is nice too.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations :) and thanks DebbieB for the fabulous pictures- I can't wait to go!

You would only need the second entrance to the bathroom if you have people using the living room to sleep in. Otherwise the main entrance to the bath is all you need.

In buildings numbered 30 and under, the only entrance to the bathroom is through the master bedroom. If that is not a problem, then it doesn't matter what number building you're in. However, if you're sharing the unit with someone that you might not want schlepping through your bedroom (think middle of the night potty runs!), then request one of the higher numbered buildings. They have an entrance from the master BR & through the laundry room.

That being said, I like the Southpoint area the best. Buildings 55 & 56 are close to a bus stop and also close to a quiet pool, with nice views and close to the walkway to SSR & DTD. Any bus that goes through OKW stops at the main area on its way out, so if you needed to get to the main area and didn't want to walk, you could just hop on any bus.

Actually it's 29 and under that does not have the second entrance. 30 and up were the second phase. 64, 65, 66 were added later.

I agree with CCW--if you don't want it to sound like a herd of cattle going by overhead, opt for a top floor unit.

Nice views from #37 Debbie :thumbsup2

We've only been on a top floor once. Most times we get the ground or 2nd floor just by luck 'o the draw. We've never experienced any noise above us---maybe we weren't under a GV ? Our most recent stays over the past 3 years, were in #43, #62 and #45.

We stayed in building 55 in 2003 on the second floor.

It had a gorgeous water view. We loved to sit there at night for hours on the balcony. It was very relaxing. :thumbsup2

We like building 14, right across from HH.

:cheer2: great point about the bus hopping to the main area. Thanks! :wizard:
