Hi everyone, we've been members for awhile (02) but this will be our first stay at BLT, so please forgive me in advance if any of these are completely stupid questions!

1. Top of the World Lounge - I noticed in the resort picture thread that they have tables/chairs set up like a real lounge...is there waitstaff there? Or do you order at a counter and then bring your food to the table?

2. Top of the World Lounge - do you have to order to stay up there in the lounge area? Is it weird if you don't? Can you bring food in?

3. Pool Slide - I see there is the big one, but then I see a smaller one. The picture on the resort thread shows a handicap symbol on the side. Is this only for handicapped people? My DD5 is too afraid of the big one (can't swim well yet and gets turned around..too small) and the little one would be perfect, but I don't want her to play on it and be disrespectful and get dirty looks.

4. On our check out day, we don't leave until 3:00pm on ME - is there a place to change if we spend the early afternoon at the pool after we've checked out of our room?

5. Does the pool close at night? I think other DVC resorts I've stayed at the lifeguard goes off duty, but you can still stay later...is it the same, or just wishful thinking?

6. Is there a Community Hall type area? I don't remember seeing anything mentioned about it.

Thanks in advance to all you BLT pros!!! :worship:

Hello - We've stayed there 2X and I have some answers:
1 and 2. Yes there's an inside place with tables and chairs and waiters but there's also an outside "viewing" area where you can watch the fireworks - I can't see then stopping you bringing up food but I've never tried as we only go up there to see the fireworks. Nice views - it's cool to hit once or twice you have to "check in" at the lobby of the BLT and get "escorted up"

3 and 5. Slides ROCK! Both the big one and the small one. No dirlt looks. Vests are provided. Lifegards on duty during "normal times" - I'm not sure it ever closes but I've seen people in there early in the morning and I'm usually asleep by 10 (the kids wear me out).

4. There's a place to chage at the pool - it will do.

6. There is a Community Hall and my kids LOVE it. We've done tie-dye, they color down there - son likes the vedio games and as DVC members you can get movies to watch in the room.

Love my BLT - we're trying BCV this year but I do love my BLT.

We stayed in a 1BR @ BLT in Nov/10. We were on 5th floor overlooking marina and CR. We loved the resort.
My kids DD14,DS12,DS11 went to the Community Hall everyday. They loved the foosball table and my daughter liked being able to rent movies. They like the pool, but it is a little on the small side- might get real crowded in the summer- the slide is nice and they had poolside games for the kids daily- like most of the other resorts.
the resort was pretty quiet. Not a lot of action- but you can easily walk over to CR for that.
We went up to the TOTWL a few times during our stay. The lounge had tables/chairs to order drinks and appetizers. You can go outside and view the fireworks. You could stay as long as you want. There was no pressure to order food/drinks by going up there. I found it a nice way to end the day. It wasn't too crowded, yet it was Thanksgiving week so there were people to enjoy the fireworks with.
Hope you have a great time.:goodvibes
