:wave2: Hi all,

I'm going to attempt my 1st solo trip since my dh is out of town in 2 days. I'm a bit  b/c I've never been by myself. But, I figure I can try to watch all the shows that my dh doesn't want to watch when we go.

I seem to recall that one Billy Hill group is considered better than others. Does anyone know which group it is & what show they will be performing at if they do on Friday?

I am also planning on watching the Aladdin show. They are all the same, right?

Are there any other shows that I am missing besides F! & the parades?

Thanks!

Oh, if anyone is there on Friday & sees a solo asian with a cutie pooh shirt that says, "I love carbs," please come up to me & say,"Hi." I promise I won't bite ;). I'm going to try to get a LGMH ready by then.

There are only 2 Billy groups that perform now since they cut the 3rd team and do not perform on Tues and Wed. On Friday, you will see the Billy Gold team which includes Kirk (seen in my avatar). The Aladdin shows are all the same.

Have fun first solo trip!

Yay for solo trips!

Sure, you'll miss him, but on the other hand, you'll have so much fun not having to consult with anyone when you suddenly get a wild idea to just GO, or just do something ELSE...no talking, just jetting. It's a most excellent thing, in my opinion.

Your description of your shirt is cracking me up, by the way. And I love that you know what you're going to wear already.

So what rides are you going to try for, along with all the shows?

If I had time at DLR myself it would be pretty scary because I would be taking my time looking through all the stores very carefully! :rotfl: Scary for my wallet. DH always rushes me through and I never feel like I get to see everything. ;)

Which days does the Gold Team perform? We are going in a couple of weeks and probably seeing the show on Sunday or Monday. So I'll probably see the other group?

Ooo, yeah! I can't wait to see him! Thanks for :teacher: me Dangermouse. How long beforehand do you think I should get there before the shows? Is it better to avoid the ones around lunch time?

Bumbershoot,
Planning Disney wear is a must for me :cutie:. It helps me to get in the mood. I always have clothes set aside just for Disney activities. I don't usually wear them elsewhere except for around the house. But I do :lovestruc them.

I haven't quite thought about rides, but I've gotta try the single rider line @ TSMM for sure. I haven't tried Nemo yet, so maybe I'll go for that. But, I'm a little phobie (clautrophobic) about the whole idea. I may just have to go to the viewing room, though I'm sure I'd feel like I'm missing something about the ride.

Right on, PinkBudgie! I'm going to spend some quality time with all the shops. That's my plan ;).

I'm claustrophic too but I love the Nemo ride!! I just sit with my face really close to the porthole so I can feel the air blowing on me and I'm ok. :) I don't look around too much tho, I start to feel closed in if I do that. :)

Too bad you won't be there Saturday, that's when we will be there, have to work tomorrow and then we are driving down.

Thanks pixiewings71. It's good to know that others who are phobie can handle being in the sub. I'll try your advice about the porthole.

Sorry I'll be missing you on your trip, too. Have a :wizard: time!

Also allows you to look up and see where the water meets the air. :)

Editing to add...if you're boarding Nemo and you start to feel like you can't do it, just stop. Turn around, tell the people behind you that you can't do it and need to get out. That should get the word to the CM, and they'll help you. It's NOT worth it to have a problem in that sub, not when the viewing room is available. The ride is nice, but it's not worth that!

We were boarding and the woman in front of us finally noticed that she was going to be the furthest away from the exit, and once she saw that she just flat out said "no". No one wanted to risk it, so we all helped her get out asap. No one had a problem with it. So if you start worrying about it while boarding, just tell people you need to get out.

True, very true, and yes, I've done that a time or two. :) Mostly I enjoy looking for Nemo tho so I'm ok because I'm distracted. Besides, I figure I can brave my fear of heights/falling enough to ride ToT over and over I can brave me fear of closed spaces enough to ride Nemo. :)

 OMGoodness, I completely forgot about riding Nemo yesterday! :rotfl: Silly me. I must admit my brain takes a vacation when I'm HOT. I'll be sure to remember your tips for next time though.
