Okay, so we are a family of 3 second graders (twins & an adopted son same age). First trip to the world in 31 days. Staying a week. Sister in Law hooked us up for a resort (not world) condo for next to nothing.

2 of my kids have special needs. 1 has aides at all times, and an aide from last year has an aunt that works at Disney. She was so thrilled we were going she called her aunt and got us two "employee passes"

One Red, One Green. They expire on June 1, we're going May 1-8.

Now, my question is.

What the heck are employee passes? What do they do? The aunt said she does not have to be there for us to use them. And then immediately afterward she had a house flood and our aide can't reach her to ask her how to use these passes.

Anyone know?

TIA

BTW, I'm starting to get pretty excited!

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to this, but I would post this question on the Theme Parks board. I know there are CM's who post there. Have a great trip!

Typically that type of employee pass is used the same as a one day park hopper pass. They used to have information on them but were changed to a more generic look a few years ago to cut down on 'bootleg' tickets. It's been too long for me to recognize the colors, perhaps one is an adult ticket and one is a childs ticket. I'm sure you'll get the help you need here if not you can ask someone in ticketing at your first park. Unless things have changed drastically you should be able to go through any gate and scan the tickets just like tickets you buy there.

There are Maingates which a CM must go with you to enter the park and there are also comp tickets that we are given that we can give out to family friends etc.

Id say the employee passes your talking about are actually the comp tickets. You just print the comp ticket out, give it to whoever you want and they redeem it at the gate for a regular park hopper ticket.

It doesn't matter if it is a child or not, 1 ticket will give you whatever ticket you require for that person to enter the park and without going and looking at my comp tickets online I do believe they are black and white.

I have no idea about these passes but think the whole thing sounds absolutely wonderful! Have an amazing time:goodvibes
