1st place you go

When I get there, first stop Test Track! Then some place to get something to eat. Then I stop back at the hotel to relax.

We always have something "big" planned for our first day, just to dive right into the magic, like a character meal or Cirque.

Usually we grab a burger at Beaches & Cream! Yum! Then we either head over to World Showcase or walk the Boardwalk.

We always drive (about 11 hours) so we usually stay at Courtyard DTD for 1 night before we check into our Disney hotel. We go for a swim in the pool as soon as we check in and then we go to DTD and have dinner at Rainforest Cafe and do some shopping. We get up early the next morning, check into our Disney hotel, and hit the parks until our room is ready. I can't wait until we can go again!!

We usually arrive about 4:00. We check out the hotel, get dinner, go to the grocery store, either go for a swim or walk around the boardwalk. We relax that first night because then the parks begin.

Another vote for Magic Kingdom!

There's something about walking down Main Street and seeing Cinderella's Castle that says....Let the vacation begin ;) Later we always have dinner at Chef Mickeys, a family tradition and if we have any energy left then back to MK. If not, then back to our resort for a good nights sleep before we start our first full day of fun :D

It has always been our understanding that you have to go to the MK first. I think it is written in the rules somewhere. But you must wait until the morning to do so and since we always get in on a late flight and travel off-season we have been able to obey the rules without fail.

We usually arrive at night so we get unpacked and then head over to Downtown Disney. This is especially fun when we stay at PORS because of the boat ride. Then I take my time browsing through some of the shops and DS gets to hang out at Legoland for a while and also eat at McD's or the Rainforest.

The last time we just relaxed at Stormalong Bay at the YC and had pizza at the takeout window on the Boardwalk. We hit the Magic Kingdom the next day. This time, I think we'll do the same type of thing. I hate to waste a hopper day when we don't arrive until 2 or 3 pm.

Last time, we just had dinner & relaxed in our hotel (CR).

This year, since it will be Spectro's only night, I don't want to miss it. So dd & I will hit MK. If dh doesn't want to come, he can stay in the room!! :p

The first park is always MK, even before we had our dd.

Before having children and moving to FL, dh and I used to fly down on the earliest morning flight we could get (usually 7am), arrive at WDW around 11:30am, check in at OKW, have some lunch and then we'd go to the bus stop:D

Which ever bus came 1st is where we'd go unless it was to DTD. Not knowing where we were going until the bus pulled up was half the fun;)

Now of course, with going more often and having kids we are a bit more planned out ahead of time but letting the bus just pull up to decide was always so much fun to be surprised.:p

We started our last trip at the GF spa, a massage was a great way to start off our relaxing vacation. :)

After a 10 hour flight we arrive about 1530 EST so by the time we check in do a bit of unpacking, we jump on the first bus to DTD... it's become our family tradition, as we are generally too tired to appreciate the parks, but this gives us a taste of Disney, and a quick wander thru OUT or WOD and we know we are really there...pinch me, but it's true!!!... then a quick dinner at McD's and back to the room to collapse and dream of the magic tomorrow at of course MK!!!!

We're leaving Saturday :Pinkbounc and since we booked with the FTP and have the tickets anyway, we're going to wander around Epcot for a bit and then have dinner at the Boardwalk. If the kids aren't too tired, we may stay for Illuminations. Can't wait!!!

We usually arrive at Orlando around 10:00 - 10:30, so there's not a lot to do. But we would always goto our hotel and go in the swimming pool.

We always used to hit a park that first night (usually EPCOT) but lately we've been planning a dinner somewhere. Our very first order of business is getting acquainted with our resort and reading all the info, maps, menus etc they give you at check-in and put in the room. I love to know where everything is! Then we can explore the resort and try out the pool!!

Most of the posts here have people getting in mid-to-late afternoon. We will be arriving from CA at 8:30AM. I am hoping to be able to check-in to our Poly Concierege Lagoon View as soon as we arrive (cross my fingers) but I am more realistic that we will have to check the luggage and head out.

What do most early arrivals do?? Going to a park this early wouldn't really be a "waste" of a day. any thoughts would be great, thanks.
