1st Onsite Stay -- Suggestions?

DH is running the Disney marathon in January, so we decided to stay onsite. I've posted on this board about the best prices I've found, then got the AJG code postcard for moderates yesterday. Today I call and discover I can get Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach for $8 more than ASMo -- what to do? I opted for one night at ASMo (for 3 yr old DS who is a a Toy Story fan) and then 2 nights at CSR. I had a tough time with the decision between CSR and CBR and the reservation agent didn't help much on the decision, although he was very nice. We had discussed staying at Swan/Dolphin, but the lowest rate I could find was $162.50, and that just doesn't compare with $85!

The CSR is where the marathon health expo is, which might be really convenient, but might mean there are thousands of people there all the time. So should I change to CBR or stay where I am? Any other suggestions? [By the way, I'll be 8 months pregnant and caring for 3 yr old DS while DH runs, if any of that matters! We'd like to try to get to a viewing point or two as well.]

TIA for your input!

Jan 03 - First Onsite Stay!!

Since you are only staying 3 nights, I would stay at one place. Moving isn't that much of a hassle, but check out time is 11am and you might not be able to get into to next room until after 3pm. That wouldn't be fun with a 3 yr old.

I think CSR would be fun.

:D

Either CBR or CSR would be fine. Neither share buses with any other resorts so that is a plus. CSR does have a direct bus to BW if you think that may be of interest to you at all.

CBR rooms are a little larger than CSR and I believe they have more quiet pools, but can't remember for sure. We stayed at CSR when there were a couple of conventions and didn't notice it being a distraction, but I don't know how may people it was in comparison to how many would be going for the marathon.

I have to agree with the other poster about staying at one resort for 3 nights - I'm normally a big promoter of resort hopping, but for three nights and having a small one with another that close behind :) I would probably stay in one spot.

Good luck!
