My sister and I are going to be at WDW Dec. 4-7 (the first trip that we have ever had together by ourselves without husbands, children and parents). We will be arriving around noon and staying at the CBR. I thought we would just eat lunch at OPR and hang out or do whatever. We have tickets for MVMCP that first night. I'm wondering where we should eat dinner. I am open to any and all suggestions. (BTW, I think we'll be using Disney transportation instead of renting a car.) This trip is a gift to my sister for being my best friend and a belated birthday trip so I would like to make this a special trip but I don't want to overextend the budget too much. Thank you all for your help!

Hi

So many resorts are going to be decorated for the holidays and its nice to get a peak at them.

Remember to make an early PS for dinner so that you wont miss any of the MVMCP festivities.

Remember - your 90 day ressie window is coming up soon. You could try dinner:

Whispering Canyon @ Wilderness Lodge and take a peak at their beautifully decorated lobby. Take the boat back to MK.

Dinner at Crystal Palace - so you will already be in the park.

Dinner @ LTT

Dinner @ Kona Cafe or Ohanas.

Try to be as close to MK as you can.

Have a great time!

I agree with the above choices and you might also want to look into the California Grille in the Contemporary and the restaurants at the Grand Flordian as well. They tend to be a bit pricier though. You could look at the menus and decide for yourself. I would definitely suggest doing a dinner somewhere on the Bay Lake/7Seas Lagoon circuit.

It has been my experience at MK parties that the only food available is fast food unless they have the Crystal Palace open which is a character meal. I would definitely plan on eating outside MK. Kona Cafe has good food but you should pull up the menus and take a look to see how it fits into your budget. If you have a car you could drive over to have dinner at the House of Blues. One thing is for sure, there are almost too many options available to you.
