We are arriving on a Sunday afternoon about 1 p.m. I figure we should be at our hotel and checked in hopefully no later than 3.

We have 7 day Park Hopper and want to go on our 1st day. Our thought was to head over to Epcot and eat in Germany at the Biergarten. We have a 2 and 5 year old and heard this is a good place for kids.

If we arrive at the park by 4 or 4:30 will we make it to a 5 pm PS at the restaurant or should I make it a little later? I haven't been to Disney since 1998 so I don't remember how long it takes to make it over to the World Showcase area and Germany.

I would say plan to be at the parks by 4...that way you'll have time to get over there and check in a little early if you are on time. But it will also allow some time for error.

I'd vote for the Garden Grill. This is not far from the entrance, is a character meal and is served family-style.

I agree with the Garden Grill. That is where we are eating our first night. Good food, character meal and pleasantly quiet.

I think your little ones would enjoy the characters at the Land better and it is a pretty good hike back to Germany after a long day of travel.Have a magical time. :flower: :wizard:

When are you travelling? Garden Grill is supposedly closed until mid June. Correct me if I'm wrong, cause I want to go there in early June :(

This is a good plan, but you don't say what hotel you are staying at and what transportation you will have. If you are renting a car, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the Epcot parking lot by 4:00, unless your hotel is a long way away. If you are staying at a Disney hotel, no problem at all, except to allow probably 30 minutes for the bus from your hotel to the park entrance.

You should be able to walk from the turnstyles to Germany in less than 15 minutes.

Of course, if you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts, you'll be able to walk over in plenty of time.

I'm pretty sure you're right that Garden Grill isn't open again until June.

We are staying at the Caribbean Beach from 5/22 thru 5/29.

I originally wanted to go to the Garden Grill but they are closed until mid June or so as is noted here.

We are planning on making most of our other dinners character meals ie: Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Fare and also a trip to the Whispering Canyon. Should we go to a different Park our 1st day and skip the Biergarten all together or is it something the kids would enjoy anyhow? We have breakfast at CRT the next morning.
