Roughing it????
HA!
Try a week in the middle of Algonquin Park, 5-10 miles from the nearest hydro, phone, flush toilet, etc.
3,200 sq miles of nothing but forest and lakes.
Canoe as your only mode of transportation.
Drinking water is as close as the lake. (No amoebas up here!

)
Portaging from lake to lake as you travel merrily along.
Getting as close as 50 to 60 feet from a moose, fishing for Lake Trout, cooking on an open fire.
Ahhhh, the good ole days.
Some scary moments too....
Getting between a bear and her 2 cubs during a hike, a cow moose that almost fell into our canoe while going down a small river, the time I almost cut my thumb off.
Soooooo many memories.
Cant wait until my boys are both old enough to do it, like my father, mother, and I did for so many summers (from age 8-26).
Not this summer, but maybe next!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy yourself Will!
Have a great time!
Pete and Walter....well....you're in a cabin, that's cheating, but, I guess I can wish you a good time as well.
PS - We stayed 4 days in a FW cabin in 2007, liked it, but didn't LOVE it.
